Oooo redrawing old art sounds like such an interesting concept! Love this video, your tips are always so helpful! Rapid roasts are back and they’re top tier!!
I would love to see you redraw some of the old art! It’s great to see how artists improve and can be such a great motivator for the artist!! Plus I just love your art
Oh i love this series! Its in my top 5 for sure! It helps me understand what is wrong because sometimes i think there’s something but idk what is wrong. Also request for a tutorial on head angles and hair (shading and highlights) in your main style. Ilysm! Have a good day/night. Also, im sure a lot of people benefit from this series. I know that technically ‘critiquing YOUR art’ is the name but i still count it in the that series. Keep your good work up! Edit: I just saw your notebook/sketchbook and the cover looks so cute! I really want it but its too expensive…well i guess watching you and being subscribed is the only way i can support you oh and *congrats on hitting 810k subs*
One often looks at their old art and I can't help but feel my old self did things a bit better than my current self. Maybe it's just me. XD Have a happy weekend everyone! How are you doing Rebekah?
I dont feel this as i never look at old art as a comparison to my now art in terms of improvement. In fact, i usually want to redraw old art and others old art if it inspires me like l2dm's tall mystery man. Plus, we all were beginners and still are in some ways, even the most advanced of us are. I believe if you have improvement as the main goal you wont see your improvement and your more prone to becoming burnt out and depressed. This is personal expierence and likely why you view your old art as better. But you can also feel that way when youve been away from drawing for a long while or just burnt out. If your burnt out put the pencil down. Its okay to take time away from drawing. Your fun and enjoyment should always be your main priority improvement is second. You dont need fancy, exspencive supplies or an "art style" thats perfect. A stick figure done with a pen and paper towel is still art and is just as good as anyone elses. Your art is just as good then as it is now.
I have almost never thought this at all-usually I look at it and notice all the flaws it has lol 💀 Though, I’ll admit, there are a few pieces where I _do_ indeed think I did things better back then… but for that, it’s only like 5 or so pieces that I think that with-otherwise I prefer my current work. Your experience is so interesting! I don’t see this perspective very often
One of the art "hacks" I've been seeing on TikTok lately is that manga faces are based on cats' faces and artists are drawing the eyes, nose, and mouths in the same places as on the cats and then finishing the face. It looks like it works- I'd like to see you give it a try! 😊
I always love seeing your old art, and watching your improvement was really inspiring! I would love to see you do more of this, maybe even do a full redraw of one or two of them!!
Redrawing art is a concept I definitely would like to see over and over again! Personally it makes me feel better about my art😅. I would also love to see you study a different anime art style eg. Haikyuu
Seeing Anne at the beginning is making me want to see her in one of the idol forms from Mermaid Melody 🧜♀️ and I love how the LoZ critique was about the snot-nosed kid and had nothing to do with the quality of the artwork at all, that made me laugh 😂
I love these kinds of videos, they give me so many useful art advices. Also, your art has improved so much over the years, it honestly motivates me to get better to see my progress. And, you should absolutely finish that sketch in a video where you redraw old art or something like that.
Thank you so much for the tips! I find them very helpful especially the tall man one! Also it would be cool to see you redraw some of your old art and finish the swing sketch.
Funny how when i still was a beginning artist like 3 years ago i used to watch all tutorials and videos, i learnt alot from you and am still learning 🎉
With the last peach picture I would've actually darkened peach/added stronger shadows, because strong contrast and silhouette can draw the eye into the image just as much as brightness (to the detriment of details) but anyways I love your videos! The tip with the eyelashes was suoer helpful :D
So fun! I love seeing your old art, you've improved so much! I would love to see you finish that swing drawing as well! ^^ Thanks for such a good video this week! (and every week!)
Lovely video as usual! I really like seeing you redraw old art or comparing old with new! It shows how far you've come! Super proud of you! Thank you for yet another video! Can't wait for next week's video!
I'm honestly convinced u read my mind :O! I had a feeling u were going to post some of art critiquing video 😅! But also, the eyelash and mouth tips were actually rlly helpful since I was just drawing a commission for someone but then I realized how weird the mouth was turning out until I watched this video and- WHAT DO YOU KNOW! I WAS DRAWING THE TEETH WRONG! 😭! But yeah, tysm for the tips! You're honestly one of my biggest inspirations for art :). 💖 Edit: Also- VIDEO IDEA- But can you maybe do a video where you redraw ur old art and fully render it? For ex the swing drawing? That would be rlly fun to watch :D plus you can see how far you've come!
It's a stylistic choice mom !! Haha anyways, it's so cool to see artists improvement and seeing that it really takes time. Sometimes we just see the end result and we don't see how long it actually takes to get there.
Seeing your old art that I recognize from an older video I've watched feels so nostalgic omg (referring to the second one). You were my first interenet artist I looked up to 🫶
You were drawing Zac Effron that drawing is really not that bad actually it’s cool! Ofcoutse I only glanced/looked at it for a few secs but still! Great video and improvement!
Oh remember that one with the guy and the lighting coming out of his hand (O w O)it still looks good to me but the slight change in the line art does make it look better (^ v ^)also I would like to see you finish that picture with the girl on the swing if you want to
I love ur videos and I was wondering if u could do a video of showing a few art tips and then using them in a picture? (How do u like TOTK so far?) see u in a week!😊
That's a good idea! I really enjoyed it and technically beat it, but I still go back and play it sometimes to do more of the shrines and sidequests....or just walk around haha. 😆
It be so cool if Manga does a redrawing vid . Love your videos as always manga 💕 By the way is that Tom Holland ? (Referring to the realism drawing ) maybe wrong so 😋 Any guesses y’all ?
I just realized that the girl where you said "I never really knew what to do with arms" looks a whole heck of a lot like Yachi. Cute! Edit: also the weird running pose looks exactly like something Lev would do I love it
If you were to critique my art and try redoing it, you would basically have to do everything different 😅😅😅. Despite any tiny flaws I still think your art is amazing!! Keep going strong. Will your webtoon chapter be finished next week, the week after or the week after that do you know??? I swear I check every single week but it's just so amazing!
If you're struggling with making your drawings' upper arms very long, a good rule of thumb is that the elbow is at the waist, so it shouldn't go down to the hips. That's one thing I think about when I draw.
Zac Effron? XD
Oh my gosh you got it right!!!! 😲
Oh is that who it was 🤣
Naurr
Yay I got it right too!
I got it right!!!
Seeing your old art again is so nostalgic, you were one of the first art RUclipsrs I ever watched!
Yes! Same!
it's actually refreshing seeing someone look back at their old work and point out the inaccurate parts rather than just saying they don't like it ❤
Yes! I would love to see you redraw your art! That sketch of her on the swing looked so cool! I’d love to see you finish it! ❤
You should definitely finish the swing girl drawing for a video!!
Also the eyelash explanation was actually really helpful wow 👀
Yay, happy it was helpful!
I really want to see you redraw old Art I think it would be fun to see your improvement over the years

Rebekah’s voice is so cute and comforting! (Sorry if that sounds weird) but it makes it so much easier watching you!

YES WE WOULD LIKE IF YOU FINISHED THE REDRAW OF THE SWING GIRL✨
You could finish the sketch in "drawing what the heck I want" videos. :)
thank you so much!😭🙏 I struggle so badly with how to draw body proportions when posing and the triangle thing will help sooooo much🙏❤
Okay.. but can we talk about how cute Chase looks 😢❤ I can't wait for the next episode.
Also, the video was really helpful ❤
Ikr❤ its been so lang since we saw him smile
Aw, thank you!! I forgot I was using a Chase that hasn't been shown in chapters yet, haha!

I love love love how you explain things! And that you "fix" the old drawings to really show what you mean. These are all so useful
Okay, the one with Link running away from the Booger Boy gave me a good laugh! lol Great video, Rebekah! :D
Yay, thank you!
2:39 Emmet's face 😂😂😂😂
Great advice! And it would be cool if you finished the swing sketch! Maybe in a video where you finish two or three previously made sketches! :D
This was very informative! (Also the drawing where Link was running away from the kid made me laugh, lol.)
I love it when you teach. ☺️ Thank you! These are helpful. Also, I, for one, would love to see you finish that sketch of the girl swinging.
I think you should finish the swing drawing. Great video as always😊❤️
I love it when you do rapid roasts, they’re hilarious 😄
Thank you so much!
Great video and seeing old drawings can bring back your memories of your childhood.

You should make a video of redrawing your old drawings :0
Can we talk about how amazing the peach art was, that was one of my favorite Odyssey outfits of hers 😍
I would like to watch you redraw your old arts tho!! It will be fun to watch!
Becca ! You should do a realism style challenge I think it would fun to see you draw in a realism manner!
That would be a challenge for me, haha!
HAVE SUCH A GOOD DAY
Aww! Thank you!!

Oddly, I really liked the Tall Man just as he was. I think he'd look great with those proportions in a dark fantasy type of story. :)
I love these vids! They help a lot with my art and im sure they help other people too :))
The thumbnail caught me off guard big time-
Ya the sketch is so pretty ❤✨
You could easily make 5:28 into Slenderman to make the height make more sense if you wanted.
