You are right and it is perverted! Also actor Spencer Lord may be a good actor in a soap opera but he doesn't have a clue how to act the role of a rancher! Can't ride a horse! His double does 95% of the riding and can't even saddle a horse! Very disappointed that Amy would have him around Lyndy so early at this point! Ty would cringe knowing what Amy has done to Lyndy to this point. As I have said before in other commitments Amy is a Buckle Bunny 🐇🐇 hoping all over for divorcees! Discusting!! Just saying from beautiful foothills of Alberta 🇨🇦🤠🐎
I don't think Caleb is the one for Amy. I think the best way to do it is to bring Ty back. And just go with the storyline the tie has been away to protect Amy and family from whatever. And bring him back and let Amy and Lyndy be a family again. I truly think that's the best way to do it it would be great for the show everybody would be happy. All the fans especially ❤️❤️❤️
If the writers feel Amy needs a man every season .... as happened since season 14 then it turns Heartland from a fans favourite to just another soap, they should let Amy carry on as Marion did after Tim. The way forward is through Lindy.

I agree. Nathan is not spontaneous, fun or inspiring. I find him boring, no chemistry , and basically uncomfortable in his own skin. He’s bitter over his failed marriage, insulted Amy’s loss of Ty telling her he thinks all relationships end in heartache & has already told Amy he never sees himself walking down an aisle again. Amy doesn’t need to try to fix him. Surely there’s someone else that’s more interesting for Amy. Loved watching the young love of Amy & Ty develop…I miss that in Heartland. Jack & Lisa’s romance has more spark than Nathan IMO.
I agree with your assessment. Everything about him is secretive and weird. Even a few years behind Lou still makes the age difference significant. I know it happens, but usually lends to problems down the road. I am sorry, but to replace Ty is distasteful due to his devotion and patience with Amy. You don't find that in two different people in such a short time. It took 8 years for Ty to get the commitment from Amy.

Amy was never really interested in cowboys she liked men that were more down to earth! Her and Ty I feel were always more suited because Ty worked hard and made something of himself and was never in competition with Amy’s family!!

Nita I agree with you and would add that the success of Heartland was and still is the Amy and Ty love story.....it was powerful, inspiring and heartfelt and is unlikely to be duplicated ever again...Amy may continue to date guys like Nathan(who Amy admits is confusing the more she gets to know him) in order to keep things interesting, but in the end, there is no future romantic relationship involving Amy and anyone else that can come close to comparing to the Amy and Ty love story, because their amazing relationship occurred over a 14 year period which can't be easily erased by the writers.
Iam one of Heartlands biggest fans if they choose Nathan for Amy I don’t think that I would keep watching Heartland
Nathan is 7 years older than Amy. Lou said he was 3 years behind her in high school which means he is 7 years older (Lou is 10 years older than Amy). It was apparent that Lou and he were not a couple and that he gave her his jacket and took her to the phone booth to call Tim.

He's no replacement for Ty. I mean come on. We've watched Amy and Ty for over 13 seasons and watched them grow apart and come back to each other. That's romantic. Get rid of Nathan!
I am not sure about him just yet. I will not pass judgment just yet. I will waite tell I get to see season 18.
First fact, Nathan was a couple of years younger than Lou, so he is only 8 years older than Amy. He helped Lou out but was not involved with her.
Nathan has problems being comfortable in a relationship due to being cheated on, which is a difficult violation to overcome, but Amy still has not let go of Ty completely.
Amy is a very young widow and deserves to move on. It should be a process of getting to know and trust each other, maybe 2 or 3 seasons, but that would not turn the series into a soap!!! Trying to cling to the past or bring Ty back as a zombie will get me to turn the channel. Yes, Lyndy should be the most important person in Amy's life, and this is where Ty should live on in Lyndie's life!!!

Just wish the writers would stop trying to rush Amy into a new relationship. I wish she would follow in her mother's footsteps and work with the horses and teach Lyndy all she knows. I really don't think Caleb is a good match for Amy either, they are more like a brother and sister friendship! Amy is a strong women like her mother was and her mother was a strong single mom. Do the writers ever follow any of the fans thoughts? I sure miss Heather Conlkin being a writer on the show. Those were the good seasons!!

I just rewatched all 16 seasons. of Heartland snd watching 17 currently just can't wait for 18 definitely looking forward to season 18 see what happens with Amy just want her to be

I actually like Nathan, I definitely think it will bring drama to the show stirring things up for the family business, but we all know in the end things usually turn out well for Heartland. Amy needs to move on. They're both wounded people and maybe they will be able to help each other heal. It might end up being a really beautiful love story. I miss Ty too, but in all reality life must go on.

@KeepHeartlandStrong I also like that he is about being a baseball player like Amy is about being a horse whisperer. They both keep to themselves. Think of the work the 2 could do for horses with the money he has, 2 ranches between them, and her knowledge!
He has a bit of that sarcastic side like her dad and the soft side like Jack.

You are right, yet he is in season 18 of what has been seen on instagram. Caleb has a new cowboy hat for season 18, that might be a clue for something. It will be interesting to find out what happened with Carson. The marketing of the beef of a beef with the beef might be something like Dan, Lisa’s X who passed away that was with Tim and Jack. Season 18 will have 10 episodes as stated by Michael Weinberg.

Listen There are too many fans that are stuck on Tye. It is not going to happen. Nathan is mature as Amy is . She is not 15 . She is in her thirties. Nathan may be older but not that much.

Well Nita I would challenge a number of your comments from this video.
I believe that there gas only been one "serious" romantic interest from Amy - Finn, other male characters have just been that apart from Edwin chasing her briefly and Caleb's infatuation which was one way only.
Nathan is at least 3 years younger than Lou and was not a "friend" of hers at school, the meeting in the forrest was a chance only.
Nathan's attitudes to relationships have obviously mellowed as S17 progressed.
I believe that the "rivalry" between the two beef producers will end up in a partnership against the big corporate farms.
Lyndy's attitude towards Nathan will play a big part in this storylines direction and I hope it leads to a romance.
Obviously I like Nathan and feel his character will be good.

I haven’t yet seen all of season 17 so I may change my mind before the season ends. This Tuesday UPTV will show episode 5 or 6. There’s nothing not to like yet about Nathan Price. He started off as a hard-nosed businessman but ended up making a deal with Jack & Tim beneficial for all, so he’s a savvy businessman. He doesn’t look or act old enough to have dated Lou. That is not believable to me. It’s hard to improve on the charm & personality of Robert Cormier but Amy is young and beautiful. It’s natural that men would be attracted to her.
I guess I'm in the minority. I don't hate Nathan and I don't think Caleb is the right match for Amy either. And we've been told six ways to Sunday on the heartland discussion page that ty is not coming back. I disagree that Nathan has a thing for Lou. All he did was help her when she had nobody else to turn to when her dad was being a bum drunk. He took her home and that's all. I think that shows he has a decent side. I'm looking forward to watching season 18. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
