It's very sad, but kind of sweet, that Amy and Dixie who are best friends are both going through very debilitating issues even though they are separated. I am not saying this lightly, or trying to sound inconsiderate, but it shows how some best friends can age together.

As a human who has a terrible type of arthritis and a couple of surgeries, i sometimes feel medicines i am prescribed sometimes hurt me more than help. Have you ever thought about other alternatives to Amy's pains and problems? Herbal? Natural? js ❤ Trying to help ❤ Since Amy has been in a pasture, free her whole life, might think her confinement, that she's not used to might make her depressed and her pain worse. I'm just thinking about how I feel and what I wished I could do. ❤
@Melissa Billings What Amy needs is mobility and she's basically confined to that small enclosure. Yes, Dixie has issues herself but she has access to roam within the confines of Longhorn Lester's. Amy doesn't have that. Poor Amy. Like Dixie, she's a gentle soul.

It’s so awesome how Myra knows her name and comes running whenever you call her. I hope she continues to do so after she’s weaned. My heart hurts for Amy, and for Dixie too. It has to be horrible to be standing when your feet hurt as bad as theirs do. And horses have to stand more than lie down. Jami explained in one of her videos that horses must stand in order to digest their food. Karter is something else, she makes me laugh every time she tries to be independent when doing the feed up & chores. And her vocabulary, & pronunciation is incredible. What a smart little girl she is. I can’t wait to see how Kash does as he gets older. Karter may not like having to share chores with him. 😊
You might consider a nail less shoe for Amy. It involves a mold fitted over the hoof and a caulk gun is used to inject the material. I have seen some serious hoof problems remedied with it. Medicine can be sealed inside and they can even tilt the hoof back in formation to reduce stress on ligaments/tendons and muscles... and you can get glitter too.

Bri, I have a suggestion if you don't mind. As you know Dixie the mare(Jami's horse) is living her best life and at some point her end of days will come as they have alluded. They provide mainly palliative and supportive care to make her life as comfortable as can be. When that day comes, there will mourning and sadness and Donkey Beverly, Dixie's companion will be affected by Dixie's loss. My suggestion when that event approaches, could you give Amy to Lester and Jami to be a companion to Beverly? It's only a suggestion and btw, Amy resembles Dixie in appearance. Just sharing.

The "mean one" is likely coming into puberty and is trying to show dominance. If that behavior isn't curtailed quickly, he may try to flog you or worse, sweet little Karter. Something that's helped me over the years, pick him up every time you're at the coop/pen and carry him under your arm like a football, rubbing his comb, neck, and wattles while completing "chicken chores" or at least 10-15 minutes". I know this is difficult to do while filming, so it might need done "off camera." The younger you start this, the quicker they learn who the alpha is and become tamer and less apt to try to hurt you or the children. Love your content - you are a natural!👏👏🙏👍
