I own a 2014 model of the bike so I am missing a lot of the advanced electronics but I still have the same gorgeous engine. The bike is really well balanced and, with that engine, a pleasure to ride. I can’t wait for the many travel restrictions to be lifted in a few months to hit the highways.

Looks really great! I'm still holding out on this (grand tourer) for a shaft drive, heated seat, hydraulic clutch and hill stop assist. Then I will definately buy it.

This is my first kawasaki motorcycle, 2019 Versys 1000 SE LT+, and it's an amazing motorcycle. Very, very comfortable and the ergonomics are spot on. Best part is the quick shifter for up and down shifts.
Love this bike, been riding the Versys 1000 since 2013. Awesome bit of kit for continental touring. Have a Mk 3 atm, simply best bike ever for me :) Might consider an S model when i change in a couple of years

Way to go Kawa. You just spoiled the rest of the year for me. Though it could not get worse. Not much hope for later this month if this is your best first show of brilliance. If you don't bring out the KLR follow up and Zx10r update I am officially going blue😭

My honest opinion on this machine... This is really an incredible machine. Why means it gives ton of features. After watching the complete video it's absolutely better than Triumph tiger 850 sport. If anyone have doubt about which one you choose for a adventure tourer. No more options just go for kawasaki versys 1000 it's an absolutely incredible machine.

will the skyhook system also be available for the Versys 1000 SE GT model year 2019 (with electronic damping system)? If not, why? It is only a software update? If this is only reserved for the new models, then I can only say "Shame on you".

Hey Kawasaki, I very much wish for the Kawasaki z1000 (also for the fans) that the Kawasaki z1000-R would get the electronics, the speedometer (like the z900 and ZH2) in 2021! This is exactly how I would make a z1000 and z1000R the chassis soft instead of hard for the road, and upholster the seat a bit softer, I hope you have read through my needs and are thinking about what can be done better for the year 2021. Many Thanks :)

even though they disappoint alot in the model but you have to give them credit for making all motorbikes have quickshifter and auto blip. Even the ZX 25R has it and you don't pay a lot for it. which is a good damn deal

A lot of comments below saying if it only had shaft drive! my understanding is that a shaft drive is a much lower maintenance type drive( compared to a chain drive )... I get it... but a chain drive is lower-priced ( at least up front ), lighter in weight, and gives more direct power/torque to the rear wheel... I would rather have the power ( and the weight savings )... I think when anyone is considering riding / owning a motorcycle, you have to also consider the maintenance/upkeep of the bike... and unless you have a considerable amount of disposable income, you need to do the work/maintenance yourself...plus taking a bike in for any service usually is going to require a lot more downtime for the bike... anyway, my 2 cents...I am happy to do a lot of my own maintenance myself including the chain cleaning / lubing / changing... and also, I feel better about doing maintenance myself because I know exactly what was done and HOW WELL it was done... and the next best thing to riding my bike is the cleaning and maintaining my bike...

Quick suggestion: if you want to compete with the likes of GS or S1000XR you have got to upgrade your TFT dash. I am in the market for a touring and just because of the dash cant consider Versys because it's just years behind BMW dash. It's very convenient to be able to control your music and being able to see direction on the same dash or in case of BMW even control standalone navigation unit while riding. Absolutely a deal breaker.
Kind of disappointed they didn’t talk much about the engine. Is it a ZX10R engine or a whole new engine?
Why should facelift go from nicest in 2015 back to freaky in 2019 and on -- any special reason for that?
I can't help it to also be disappointed really. I'm looking for a upright bike, allowing me to drive with the the girl on the back with some comfort. Looking for a bike i can add side and top box. The 2021 Versys is delivering but there is no change from the 2019, 2020 SE model really. We need to wait for some reviews on Skyhook but i'm not expecting wonders. Was really hoping for more power, shaft drive, bike loosing some wheight. They call it a adventure sport bike. 120hp on a 257kg bike (without luggage or persons) is now a days just not a lot. Now on a Z1000SX and afraid i'm going to shop for a second hand Ducati Multistrada or something instead. Lets be honest, we are not just driving bikes because they are practical, they also need to deliver on the fun factor. Really a shame this, do like the look but it's not enough for me.
with all other specs staying the same, adding shaft drive means increasing the weight and lowering power/torque to the rear wheel... I am VERY happy with the chain drive and power...

Is this bike suitable for short people below 170cm?
I'm about 170cm, or 5'10", and I'm on the balls of my feet. They do have a shorter seat, however, it may not be as comfortable for me when riding, because my legs may be more bent. I noticed that if I set the preload to single rider, the height of the bike actually let's itself to the point when I can touch my heels to the ground. If you change the preload to ride+luggage, then the height of the bike rises. Pretty cool technology.
One thing, why the handle bar for Versys 1000 doesn't look like Ninja 1000SX ? It would be more smarter if Kawasaki use the same handle bar for this bike in 2022 or later.
We give you a second chance to deliver a light dual sport on 23 November! :) (KLR/X 250-700) I will keep my eyes on you!

Stuff all really, it a model they don't need and a chronic low volume seller.
In US were we only get the SE LT+? Dash, suspension, standard bags, standard heated grips, sit up and beg ride position, more suspension travel, more wind coverage, can add a top box, less hp but with slightly more torque slightly lower in rev range. A few other small things, too.

Rear seat is 8 feet high.... female passengers have to get ladder to climb... also newer black has horrible red stickering

This is a really good touring bike, but it's not an adventure bike by any measure. I'm sure there are a lot of people who are happy to see the Versys 1000, even though it is basically the same bike it was. For me, this is not a "new" model, and I don't think it requires unveiling of any sort.
The exhaust is horribly exposed for adventure riding.

Eine Versys S braucht es nicht. Was die Versys braucht ist bessere Bremsen. Meine schon 2tes mal verzogen, 120 PS( Ducati, BMW, Triumph) sind nicht Zeitgemäß für ein Straßenmotorrad. Besonders nicht wenn man mit der Sozia und Gepäck fährt. Ab 180km/h wird das Motorrad unruhig und Windgeräusche gibt es ohne ende..... Macht was dagegen
this was not a fair review , it was a shameless promotion of the versys, it is a fantastic bike ,but when you name this video a product review make it an unbias review with pros and cons .

Well that was disappointing. Seems Kawasaki has their own definition of adventure bike that doesn't include off road riding. Are they blind to what the rest of the industry is doing? An adventure bike has to have at least a 19" front tire minimum. This is a good all around street bike but not by any means is it and adventure bike. This is more of a sport cruiser.

Why they persist with this low selling model is beyond me, just stop it, develop a parallel twin ADV bike with 120 HP and get in the game, your competitors have the market, and you bring this upright Ninja 1000 to the market, you can't Adventure on this thing, it's laughable,( they sit in the back corner at dealerships and are discounted just to sell), just survey owners and make what we want.
