Will also do a normal comment but if you won't rank beers can you rank the UK's favourite sweets/confectionery just love seeing Ross getting that sugar high 🤞🤞
The can twist trick was a nice side plot in this It was a good example of confirmation bias when Trott and Ross seemed to believe it more the more they tried it, until they tried not doing it
If they hadn't smacked the fanta on the table the lemon one would have overflowed like crazy. Giving it a good smack is enough to cause the carbonation bubbles in the can to detach from the walls.
@@holdbrillan100 Ummm, sir, I think you'll find that while Howard Hamlin is the one that informs someone else of the trick, he credits Chuck as having been the one who taught him the trick.
The can twist is what I'd imagine to be similar to the can flick. By lightly flicking all around the sides of the can, you force the tiny bubbles of CO2 attached to the walls of the can to float to the top. Those bubbles rapidly moving upward upon opening the can is what causes the overflow. If the bubbles are already on top of the soda, then once opened, it just escapes without fizzing over. Smith and Trott mentioned they watched Veritasium before, but that channel goes over this exact experiment. I may have misremembered some stuff, so I recommend that you watch the video. I think it's really interesting.
Fun fact: Regular pepsi performed so poorly in Norway that it's virtually impossible to find shops that stock it. On the flip side, pepsi max did so well in Norway that it killed off nearly all other sugar-free cola-flavored products in the country.
IRN BRU changed their recipe a few years ago because of the sugar tax. they kept the price the same but sadly it doesn't really taste the same. luckily they started selling cans of the classic flavour again, I happily pay more for that glorious original flavour
You must be sensitive to bitter tastes from artificial sweeteners. Overall the flavour isn't all that different unless you are. The 1901 flavour is actually more different to the pre-sugar-tax version than the current recipe is. I think it's missing quinine and has a very different mouthfeel and foams up differently, quite cloying in my opinion.
Fun fact, MNT Dew was made to mix with Bourbon Whiskey. That's the reason it has so much sugar. So it can almost completely mask the flavor. I don't know why someone in the 40's was like "let's ruin some Bourbon, by adding it to this, but more power to them?"
@@Alcsaar0 Really depends tbh, a good whiskey should be able to stand behind itself and say it can be drunk on the rocks and if it can't it's a bad whiskey. But everything else yeah agree 100%, although I think Brandy and Sherry are typically drank straight.
I've always felt I'm an odd one out when it comes to my pepsi max raspberry opinions and this has proven that. I apologise for saying this, S tier for me.
I do find it funny that the "abomination" that they weren't excited about drinking is something kinda loved when I was younger. We would go down the line and fill up out cup with every drink in the drink fountain.
Just to explain the "Can Trick": The reason sodas bubble over when opened is the gas bubbles on the sides of the can releasing and bringing liquid with them to the surface when opened. Twisting the can when pressed against the table vibrates the sides, releases the bubbles so all the gas is at the surface already when it's opened, hence, no bubbly overflow. Or.. that's the theory at least. Apparently it's pointless since physics has changed and cans no longer care about being shook..
I think that twist trick was just an excuse to make you wait a while before opening it. And it would settle down in that amount of time. I have no idea why they weren't still explody with that little bit of time after shake though...
When the can is rotated, it is "stable", and time is progressing. Many techniques work, or just wait six to twenty seconds, depending on brand and flavour. (plastic bottles work differently, as they are flexible)
Trott was already my favourite out of the three lads, but him putting Irn Bru up in S tier straight away makes him one of my favourite people on youtube now.
Alex "scientific method" Smith: disproves of hypothesis before testing, after initial testing proves hypothesis correct then disagrees with the tests, after awhile and tests start to prove his theory correct finally comes to conclusion that he was right all along. It's perfect

I guess I will never miss ranking video ! 😀 you guy’s hilarious 😆 Could you do one with INSTANT NOODLES ? I would say pot noodles but there is not enough I guess ! Challenge?
Instant noodle is a good thing to add too, I'd love to see more than just instant ramen, some stir fry style would be good too like Indo Mei Mi Goreng, the fav instant noodles of Indonesia, Malaysia, and Australia alike.
on one hand I think printing pictures of the items would be easier than trying to tape these containers onto the wall. On the other hand though, I find it thoroughly amusing to watch them try to keep these containers stuck to the wall.
I think the action of spinning the cans agitates the bubbles that are forming from shaking it making them pop/settle before you open it. My friend says to flick the sides which I imagine will do the same thing. Or, it could be witchcraft. 🤷♂️
I have Dalston’s cherry cos it’s natural sugar from the crushed cherries and mixed with fizzy water. 36 calories a can pure class me. Or I like fizzy water with a cordial.
how about a series of shelves instead of taping shit to a wooden wall? perhaps a pegboard where you could have shelves or hooks or clips... but tape on a wooden wall? That's like using a school glue stick on an DHPE plastic wall... BTW the can twist thing was recently in Better Call Saul season 6.
I have the feeling that the turning would probably work better if done faster. What matters is getting the bubbles stuck on the inner sides of the can to loosen and gather at the top again. The turning seems like a fancier but probably worse version of the classic tapping.

Fanta Lemon is F for me. Unless I'm on holiday, in which case it's S-tier
I think u guys should rank beers next
If y'all come to the southeastern U.S., I hope you try Cheerwine. It's an S-tier soda for me and many others.
I love the contrast between Smith's unflappable scepticism and Ross being just completely blown away for Trott's can trick...

Absolutely killed my ears though. What a terrible fucking sound.
Seven minutes in and I'm ready to throw hands
But what do you think about trott's magic trick?
The main thing I took away from this video is Smith thinking Rio is the capital of Brazil
I'm glad someone else shares my absolute disgust
went straight to the comments when i heard that, absolutely shameful smh
He is what's known as a "Functioning Smoothbrain".
When will we see Geo Guesser again with emphasis on the later
Was hoping someone would comment about this absolute travesty
Nothing better than watching 3 lads ranking together in a warehouse
I see Trott has been learning can-based wisdom from the late Charles McGill.
Ig was actually the late great Howard Hamlins trick mind you

God that would help

Tape is cheaper than shelves. Think about it.
Some say its weird to rank together, but I think it brings us closer.
Nice to see Smith channeling his inner Ace Ventura
this video better get on more peoples recommended.. this is top tier entertainment

A video where they rank every game they’ve ever streamed
MAKE A SHELF BEHIND YOU INSTEAD OF TAPE
What a pleasure it is to see all the boys ranking really hard.
Just so Smithy knows, Rio De Janero is not the capital of Brasil, Brasilia is.
Exactly what I was thinking too
was checking the comments to see if someone said it lol
I haven’t watch hatfilms in YEARS and this just popped up in my recommended so must be good
If you wanna get back into the Hats and loved their old gaming dynamic - I big time recommend their Ranch Simulator series on Hat Gaming
Can’t wait to watch three men ranking xx
Smiths excitement and little dance at 24:48 is sending me 😭😂😂
I think a british alcohol episode should be made where you just gradually get drunker and drunker throughout the episode
That Irn-Bru one had me on the edge their boys! Phew.
Had irn bru when I was in Scotland, it was fine, didn't stand out to me at all.

When the can is rotated, it is "stable", and time is progressing. Many techniques work, or just wait six to twenty seconds, depending on brand and flavour. (plastic bottles work differently, as they are flexible)
