- Mass evacuations are underway with Hurricane Milton set to make landfall overnight in Florida. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis provided an update Wednesday on preparations the state is making ahead of the storm.

Having lived in Florida my empathy is for the elderly who live in trailers and are so poor they can't evacuate!
As for the families staying in nursing facilities with their loved ones, that has always been a thing. Most of the time, the family members don't stay in the facilities. That's fine because it makes our jobs as nurses and nursing assistants a little bit less hectic.
The people working to remove the current debris are busting their butts. This is going to be a huge mess.

50% debris removed seriously a great job and important effort. Huge rewards to ameliorate next cleanup and saved lives from reduced flying debris. I wish that the governor of North Carolina was as proactive as DeSantis. This man truly cares about his State and the country.
