Wow I have been wanting to make a pot plant cover for so long havent seen any patterns i like !!! I love this so much and easy .....Im going to start this tomorrow Thanks Kate xo
You could also use a thin jute instead of the cotton to have that all over jute basket. I’m going to try this with cotton rope & a cotton yarn for a babies room 😂 Thankyou for sharing.
Thank you very much. So beautiful. I love your accent too. If I will water the plants should I take the pot out of the crocheted basket also for the big ones?I worry that the water and soil might mess it up once it's watered... Thanks and GOD bless.
It is beautiful 😍 love how you can see the Jute through the cotton! I need to make so many for my babies. Would be a perfect idea to make to go with a plant gift to a friend as well! Xx Ps. love your engagement ring!
Yesss! Such a great gift idea! I was inspired because you made me buy all those new plants then I had no pots to put them in 🤣 Thankyouuuu! I love it so much too 💍🥰🥰
Hi, does the jute need to be a similar thickness to the yarn? I only have super chunky yarn, was hoping to get away without using the jute but do you think it'll be too floppy for a plant holder?! Great video, thank you!
Hey Natalie! The jute doesn’t have to be the same thickness as the yarn but you would want the jute to be the same or thicker than the yarn and not the other way around.. otherwise you won’t be able to see the jute because the yarn would cover it if that makes sense? You could definitely give it a go with chunky yarn! Maybe just use a smaller hook so it’s nice and sturdy 😊 Goodluck! 💕
Hi, this creation is very beautiful! I love to make one for my plants too! Can you please share the pattern for this creation? I super love it!!! Please!!!! 🤗🤗🤗🤗🙏🙏🙏
Hi Marie, Thanks so much for watching! Unfortunately I don’t have a written pattern for this basket as it is likely you will need to make it in a different size to fit your plant. If you follow along with the video tutorial I explain how to customise the size to suit your needs 😊 Thanks again!
Hi Usha, I’m so sorry I’m actually not sure if the weight as I’ve lost the label. It’s about the same thickness of an Aran or Worsted weight yarn. I hope that helps 🌻 This technique will work with and type of jute or rope! 😊
Wow, thats so much easier than I thought. Guess I have to go to Spotlight now! You're such a good teacher Kate!

That’s definitely something I can film! 😊 thanks so much for watching 💖
@@Katieree thanks can't wait to see that
If you using 3mm rope for the yarn, what size round you think you’d need for the jute ? Thank you
Baskets are beautiful.
Hi Angela!
You can use any size jute as long as it’s thicker than the yarn you’re using 😊 thanks so much for watching 💕
@@Katieree thank you. And your welcome

@@Katieree Thank you, will see how it goes with chunky!
Doesn't the jute tear up your fingers?
pretty ingenious!
Thankyou so much Margaret! ❤️❤️
I have a wooden base…. So I don’t need a magic circle… at which point should I start to build it up
Straight away! As long as the base is the correct size 🫶🏼
What thickness is the jute you’re using?
Love it... thank you

Thanks so much! 🥰
Could I use acrylic yarn instead of cotton yarn?
Of course!
Thank you for this tytorial.
My pleasure! 🥰
Great ! 😀
I did the increases but the circle doesn't keep flat. It keeps flat until the 3rd or 4th round but after this is doesn't stay flat. Quite annoying
Try using a bigger hook 😊
Where do u buy yr wool from
I don’t really use wool in particular! But I’ll buy yarn from anywhere honestly. I don’t have any favourites 😊 mostly Spotlight or online 💕
What is the thickness of jute please
