There is no damn way that the Caveman Ninja wasn't a little reference to Data East's own "Caveman Ninja"/"Joe and Mac" series. Who knows, maybe the boss here was one cast out of the clan or something.
@@thenewguyinred Yes (and no), in Japan this series is just called Caveman Ninja (just like the first Joe & Mac) Congo's Caper was called Caveman Ninja 2, and Joe & Mac 2 called Caveman Ninja 3 It's funny because this game have basically nothing to do with it's prequel and sequel (aside from being from the same devs)
Ah, Data East again :) They gave us a lot of good games that are still interesting to play, and this one seems to be one of them. I will definitely play it some day
This is my very 1st time seeing this game and i owned a Super NES console system for many years. How did i not stay in the loop and hear about this game? Sweet that this video was uploaded so recently🙂!
You know, I always wondered the what the actual plot of the game is. Like the weird crystals fall from the sky and change the monkeys into hybrids, scare the other monkeys, then the Demon King (who honestly looks more like a prince) sees dat nice hybrid human monkey ass and kidnaps it, requiring Congo to go on an adventure which doesn't seem to have much actual reason thinking about it. Why does he need to go after each of the individual minions that the Demon King sends after him? He's not getting information out of them, just wondering around before meeting and kicking their asses so hard they die pretty much. There's also no mcguffins to collect either, there's seemingly no reason to it. Also what's the dragon guy at the end? He just appears, everyone just stands there staring, and suddenly he's the final boss instead. In Joe and Mac, the final boss with the weird caveman monster was more justified since you only fought dinosaurs presumably attacking you as wild animals or things the enemy cavemen tamed. So the emergence of a presumable leader makes sense. You don't what the hell he is, but its a leader of some sort. The dragon just comes out of no where as the final boss. What the fuck is his role in the end?
The crystals are a enigma. You go after the goons because they kidnap the rest of your money family clan. That's why when you beat them four come out and dance. Then you go stop the madness by beating the demon king for good but he is actually being told.what to do by the dragon he is trying to rez aka his dark master. It's not a hard story it's very easy to follow. The only thing never really answered is why the crystals fell in the first place.
Boss 1: Tyrone Boss 2: Dex Devlin Boss 3: Namrata Ninjo Boss 4: Anchor Sam Boss 5: Mechasaur and Dr. Wingnut Boss 6: Van Pier Boss 7: Dex Devlin and Tor Dante
Vampire boss was an immediate let down! Maybe each bat counts as a hit, so if hitting them when grouped (say 4) would that mean your taking 4 bars off health from the boss with a single hit? I can only guess that must be what occurred because that was quick!
So it's from those rare occations that you save the gal in the first chapter right?! And after that only monkeys that shake their bootys in all the other stages! 😆
I mean... The T-Rex looks like an okay first boss. The Demon King looks kinda tough. The ninja is related to Uncle Fester and his circling gun. The pirate looks okay. The mecha-dinosaur is sissy s**t even for a midboss. The MAIN boss should have been the midboss and the boss should have been something else. The "Pussypire" looks like a complete and utter JOKE! The final boss has three forms, but none of them look challenging.

You know I hoenstly wonder if it was the dragon who was supposed to be the "Demon King" rather then the bat winged fella we face.

One of my fav games in SNES :3
Now, this brings back memories.
What memberies
That demon king boss, isn't he also the final boss in one of those Joe & Mac games? Inside the dinosaur's gut?
No. Not the same one.
Data East's prehistoric Megaman.

Wow the America was released in the next year in 1993
So data east made a joe and mac clone?
More what seems to be a spinoff of their own series; "Joe & Mac" was itself a Data East game.
How do you make a clone of your own game?
@@felps_4500 Easy. Mario Kart, Mario Party, etc.
I could just see this game come to SNES Online...
Well, Joe & Mac is actually set to come on it soon, so there's a chance.
