Question: are sweeps still legal? Ive heard that judo has banned all forms of leg attacks, is that still the case and does it include sweeps?
You're welcome, no, only leg attacks with hands are banned. I've made a highlight video of what kind of techniques were banned, I'll post it soon.

Very nice ! I'm a beginner in judo, would you say that focusing on such ashi-waza techniques would be well suited for a tall, long-legged judoka ?
Short answer would be yes, they would probably suite you the best, but on another hand as a beginner you should't focus on one group of throws, just enjoy the process of learning and you'll gradually find what fits you the most.
