Backtesting with Heiken Ashi candles does not work. At all.

Absolutely, people will get rekt trading with Heiken Ashi candles.
RUclipsrs need to really make this clearer. To be honest it shows inexperience or lack of understanding.
Heiken Ashi candles are good momentum indicators only

I'm pretty sure you shouldn't be backtesting indicators using HA candles because the indicators use the HA candles price for their math instead of the actual price.

You should switch to normal candlesticks in order to calculate % because heiken ashi are not real, even tradingview warns you about this when you try a coded strategy.

I use traderedge.app to calculate the account growth when backtesting. For simplicity purposes the leverage is set at 1:1 when backtesting
