I vividly remember sitting in the audience and hearing the waiter start talking and IMMEDIATELY feeling like the voice was the most familiar thing I’d ever heard. And then it HIT ME. Denis O’Hare, the waiter/others played CHARLES J GUITEAU IN ASSASSINS!!!!!!!!
(P.s., That night I was also coincidentally wearing the same hat guiteau wears in the show lol)

Yeah Denis himself has a pretty damn unique speaking/singing voice that is easily distinctive, thanks to his combination of mannerisms and phrasing that is uniquely idiosyncratic.

Surreal hearing the last of Sondheim even if it's not 100% done as he was prone to change stuff well into previews. I hear Sunday, I hear Into the Woods, I hear Passion, the more recent Sondheim, but also everything else! He still had it! Wish he could have lived forever!
