Thank you so so much, idk know why it’s so hard to figure out how to make a freaking pumpkin but you’ve saved my life here and helped me think more practically In terms of creating objects lol

It was very interesting tutorial, thank U! I'm wondering if there will be a second part (as you mentioned in the video) in which you could show us how to create the mesh on the pumpkin? I would love to see it.

I don't think I will continue on this one but you can watch my retopo tutorial and apply it to this, I would follow the same workflow.

Hi Polygonpen, any plans to do more modelling tutorials using the volume builder?

Yes, I want, hopefully I will do!

@@polygonpen That would be fantatsic, because many of us dont have you're modelling skills or thought process in how to create meshes which is both creative and technical. It would be great to see a hybrid work flow. The volume modeller is quick and dirty but amazing in turning out complex objects quickly, though the meshes never are as nice as the standard workflow.
Look forward to seeing what you come up with! kind regards

When you make the editable sphere with the cloner at the beginning, i dissolved the invert selected faces and it came out with uncompleted sphere if i make cloner with it. But then i deleted the faces, not dissolving them, and it went right. Why is that?

So useful, especially when you show us what the cause of a problem is and then show the solution. If possible try to raise your voice a little:) and I suggest making more videos showing the tricks of problem-solving of issues we face while modeling (to keep a good edge flow for example). You should think about a way to get your channel spread more :) Live streaming may help.

good idea but thumbs down for rushing thru many of the steps which you do not explain. A tutorial is to teach, make it easy for the learner. Thank u anyway for sharing the process as a whole.

@@polygonpen round 2:00, 2:39, 8:25. 9:23, 11:34, etc. As I said before, thanks for teaching and great technique but these gaps make it harder to understand what you are doing in full (for you it might be obvious but for the learner it is not)

    • @jakemp42

Agreed. It was nice seeing a different way of making a pumkin, but can be frustrating when you're trying to learn and the tut fast forwards through some fairly critical moments.
