Basketball Offense: The Quick Rip

- When a basketball team gets the ball on offense, the opposing defense will look to use closeouts to limit their movements on the court. To counteract this, players should use the “quick rip” to help attack closeouts and create space.
A quick rip starts by reading the defense and is followed by ripping the ball to the shooting pocket and accelerating to the basket.
