Shooting Consistency with 5-Spot Shooting Drill - Basketball Drills

- Learn how to shoot better and more consistently from five of the most popular spots on the basketball court with this drill. Before starting this basketball drill, warmup by calibrating your shooting skills to the hoop. Start close to the hoop and shoot. If you miss, try to shoot lower or higher. Once you’ve got five in a row, move back to shoot the ball and do the same thing.
In this basketball drill, you’ll shoot from five different spots: the short corner, the wing, top of the key, the opposing wing and the opposing short corner. At each spot practice in game speed, take five shots and then move to the next shooting spot. Record how many baskets you make from each spot in your shooting journal. This basketball drill is crucial for improving shooting consistency and building up endurance.

Hello - when you spin the ball etc and "grab" - are you shooting the ball with any grip on the ball or are you rotating the ball to a grip that is optimal. I think this is a good drill but those nuances are missing. Any clarification is beneficial. Thanks

Nice, I started practicing my dribbling not even a year ago and it's gotten better, my shooting is really good to
my tip would be to compete with someone. Like he said, do 5 spot shooting. Best out of 10 against someone repeatedly and your shooting will sky rocket within a month. It's the competitive repetitions that get us better. We want to win so we have to adapt and get better.

This is real practice shooting. Unedited. It teaches you form and mechanics. If this is practiced, you will improve. But if you sit on the couch and eats chips…..then you won’t.

Why is it that whenever I shoot I always hit the backboard and it bounces of the rim I try to shoot with less power but then I air ball it any tips?
Bigmac 0678 try using the same power you were using when you hit the backboard but just give it more arch.
At night lay down on your back put the ball in your shooting hand only and flick it up and make sure you are flicking it with your middle finger and when your at a court have a good arc and make sure you flick the ball also have a light jump that should help you
