My son did the spirit Halloween deku costumes and the mask was painful…it did not protect the nose and made a welt in his nose we had to use cotton as a cushion
I’m too young to have kids (I’m 10) but i probably would get my child like a wig instead of a mask or if they want the mask I would just give them like matching hood of Deku
My brother got that costume thinking it was good quality(I mean it’s spirt halloween lower your expectations) and when he tried it on it was very lazy looking and the mask doesn’t even go all the way around your head.
I think the Sailor Moon costumes would look more accurate if they made the waistband sit lower, giving the illusion of the skirts being shorter, especially since they sit more on the hips anyway.
If I remember correctly, my sailor moon cosplay IS the one from Halloween Costumes and tbh it’s not bad! I’m planning on upgrading it since I got it back in 2015 lol, but for a basic beginner cosplay it’s not a bad choice!
I got a Sarah Sanderson costume from Spirit Halloween and for the amount I paid it actually is pretty good quality for a Halloween costume and screen accurate . However I will say that some of their anime costumes are questionable for sure but fun to look at just see how bad they are.

It can be hit or miss, but Spirit Halloween has gotten a lot better with quality on somethings over the years. I got a Kingdom Hearts Sora cosplay there 2 years ago and oh gosh it is sooo comfy! The pants could be a little bit longer, but otherwise the cosplay is really good. I also got a wig that I'm gonna use for fem!Deku at an upcoming con; testing it out, it's actually really nice. Yay Pandaween eps.2! I used to work as a item picker and boxer in the wearhouse for Halloween Alley (A Spirit Halloween competitor mostly known in Alberta but pretty much the same quality) and so you mentioning everything thing about how cheap they look and such is giving me flashbacks to how horribly hilarious those things were just packing and shipping them out haha
As a cosplayer, it is always fun to see others review costumes from sites like these. Though it would also be cool if you were able to get a couple of the outfits you mentioned as a 10/10 to see if your review matches up to what the actual product looks/feels like.
This is why I order my costumes/cosplays piece by piece of of Amazon. Edit: Besides that one Halloween where I went as Sailor Chibi, my skirt flew up at school 😭✋
I got a Captain Marvel cosplay from a Halloween website for like 35$ including shipping and it was one of the best bodysuits I've ever had,almost matching my 250$ worth of Kree suit for her. So theoretically speaking fret not,you can find some good picks from Halloween places if you're short on time for cons,you just need to dig a little bit. You can also mod Halloween accessories like tights or petticoats into cosplay accessories if you like to sew. Have a great Spooky month people
As a Sailor Moon superfan (a moonie), I can confirm that the 3 costumes from the show are mostly accurate. I agree that technically the skirts should be shorter. I also have to point out that the shoes for Sailor Moon and Sailor Mercury are not quite accurate. Both should have a white strip on the edge of the top and Sailor Moon's should also have a small golden crescent moon on the point. My comment on the "sexy" Sailor Moon costume is that if you want something sexy themed to this anime, I suggest going with the swimsuit version of Sailor Mercury that has been available at Hot Topic or go for lingerie bra & panty sets for each character. Honestly the costume presented is gross and really isn't anything like what's seen in the anime. Get something accurate, plz

Yeah, Attack On Titan costumes/cosplay can be confused for a very cheap viper pilot from the original Battlestar Galactica cosplay. Especially without the straps and gear. I know this because a few Halloweens ago my dad confused someone with an AOT costume that way. The jacket was a full bomber jacket, but making your own, you know.
honestly the eren looks like they tried to make it look more "masculine"?? like mikasa does have the straps and the longer boots and hip wrap and short jacket? like they really did take away everything that could possibly look more traditionally feminine ya know?
We have this thing in my country called carnaval (from the netherlands) and someone in my town really DID shave his head for aang, the costume tho... it was really bad. But his arrows and head looked good!

I’m currently going to be in a Toga cosplay for Halloween, I’m just going to use a UA uniform, because I already have one, and I don’t have time to (and can’t) find a Toga outfit, and my hair is perfect for her space buns, all I needed to do was buy vampire fangs. Overall, it already looks great! (The fangs I got were the brand ‘Scarecrow’ from spirit Halloween)

At sprit Halloween i found a decent UA uniform for mha but it didnt come with the undershirt or pants so i gotta find something for that it was like 50 bucks tho so kinda a waste but i didnt have to pay for it my dad did

Hi there! I'm cosplaying for the first time, and my wig is a MESS. I got it from Amazon, and I don't know if I got the wig from the right place. We tried using a normal brush, it became a bigger mess. We used a recommended comb for wigs, got better, but still a big mess. We used normal conditioner, water, and a "no-frizz" hair substance (works well) in total. It's still a mess, does anyone have any tips? Any tips are appreciated.
funny enough my friends and I went like a week ago and the naruto costumes fabric wasn’t that bad, similar to something you could buy on miccostumes for less though, so not worth the $50 (when you can get better for less), the headbands arent bad quality either so my friend bought me one lol
My brother said "isnt that an anime you watch" when we walked into spirited halloween. It was deku. one. the costume was hideous, two. Could of added more characters like manga deku is better than anime deku and you cant tell me diffrent. the only good thing about it was the all might socks-
