Hi Renfail! Brand new player here, world of warcraft veteran. LOTRO has really surprised me with it's depth and gameplay and you're videos are very informative and entertaining. I can see myself playing this game more in the future and I hope to catch your streams soon. Take care!
New player and enjoying the game so far I love just exploring so far, I found the bodies around the river in antel and when I found the son asking to find his family I felt so bad for him and went back to make sure they were his family before telling him the news. I love stuff like that. I went minstrel because I love support bard in dnd. I just hope there are enough people leveling I can do some group content and heal because I love supporting other players
My first character at release was a Champ. On Angmar I have a minstrel and am loving it. I also have a Beorning which is kind of fun. I did main this game specifically during Moria and Mirkwood as well, but I only left because my kinship had broken apart due to some real life issues with several members. I tried to play again during Rohan, but found the lack of direction (a supposed feature) to be very frustrating. I did find Swanfleet very annoying at first because it is a bit more spread out than other starting areas, but now I'm glad I started there since it gives an alternate opening to the story where you follow Boromir. It also exposes more of the background of LOTR I feel so I think it may be a better starting area for people who have only watched the movies.
I think I'm weird in that I've been playing a (now blue line) gambler burglar since 2007. I love the way a gambler plays in that you can do all the sneaky backstabby stuff and crowd control when you need to, but the gambler is also a toe-to-toe fighter if your gambles pay off. Brilliant class and archetype and my favourite by far.
Just found you through your DA Veilguard video today and what do I see you're also a lotro player?! Instant subscription for being a fan of two of my most favorite games of all times! Granted I've been away from lotro for a while sadly but I'll be certainly playing it again! Also hunter is also my first/main class!
@@Renfail It is! Before I stopped playing I also got a lot of interest in playing as yellow brawler with a high elf, rellay like that both visually and lore wise (an ancient elf from the time of before weapons :P)
River Hobbit Brawler with a lute to RP music performance in inns, he’s a traveling performer in my RP…. I really love him, he wears the full Fox costume from the Harvest festival I believe. I have been playing about a year off and on, I’m lvl 30, really savoring my time in Middle Earth. I have been playing Lotro a lot, and not much of the new WoW expansion lol which says a lot. I’m on Laurelin and it’s such a close knit family atmosphere, if you are on Laurelin I’m Oxideo, come say hi and if you need a leveling friend 👌
@@Renfailyeah! It’s adds so much story and richness into a game with already a rich story and lore, I’m also reading the trilogy for the first time, seen the movies hundreds of times. Love your videos 🙏
Strange that Captain does not seem as popular as most other classes, given that it is closest to the iconic Paladin class, a favorite in most fantasy games.
The two toons i play on gladden are a hobbit loremaster and a man champion. Taking the champ through Before the Shadow. Im debating whether I want race to make a hunter.
My main character is my hunter (elf), and then rune keeper (high elf), lore master (human), and just started a beorning. Hunter is my favorite, but I love my rune keeper and lore master equally. Next up is a Hobbit character and a dwarf, one will be a minstrel for sure. I want to play through all the opening stories. High elf is phenomenal for those steeped in the 13 histories of middle earth, and I spent most of the time very excited about who they had in the prologue. 😅
I started maybe a month ago on Gladden as a Champion. After giving it a try for a few weeks I VIPed and started a Hunter, Guardian, and Rune. So far Guardian and Champion are my fav. I wish I could move my Champ from Gladden to Angmar. He is level 37 and where Ive spent most of my time. But Angmar so smooth!😂
Today I'm starting my very first adventure in LOTRO. My choice is between Hunter and Lore Master. I'm an experienced mmorpg player so I'm not concerned with class difficulty, rather how well the class does solo and also if I has high ceiling. What is your recommendation?
I take it you haven't looked at the Lore-master changes with U41 yet. They did a massive rework of the class and it's really nice. Yellow I think is more or less the same, blue has more direct player interaction with more impactful pets, and red has sort of turned into something that kind of reminds me of blue Hunter with a focus on lightning skills and temporary pets.
So far on angmar ive started as ranger didnt care for it made a champion played it for a few days didnt enjoy it that much but it wasnt bad and then made a runekeeper and am actually enjoying it alot almost max level on it. Never played this game before and have been having a blast.
I am not super on top of everything, but since some class re-works, these will change a lot. Right now LM red line is very high dps I heard. Saw cardovan play it at 35 and easily cut through enemies with 2-3 skills, with no or little induction, more like a RK! No pets even… which is a bummer for many. Anyway, blue line will be more what most people are used to with the older Lm. Also, minstrel red dps is among the highest in the game right now, but people think it will be “re-balanced”.
i just got into this game and its breath of fresh air coming from playing world of warcraft tbc lasting up and till wod raiding i do play off and on but stop raiding and osrs but the music in LOTRO is something different and the lore in this game is so good tbf though osrs sea shanty still slaps 😂. I feel like wow retail is losing its touch with lore and character progression and the world and rushing everyone up to the end game to raids and mythic plus and flying feels like it ruins the open world and exploration imo. Hopeful wow 2 one day

Warden was my favoite as soon as it came out, combo based classes are always my favorite in MMOs if they exist. I just thrive on the challenge haha.

Rohan is my favorite expansion so far, followed by Gondor. Love the new starting areas.

it's a great class :)

Red LM is probably the fastest at killing atm. The buffs they got have made them insanely strong.

SO much good RP to have in this game :)

it's just so slow for many players

they all work but I love the elves for hunter

Got to be warden or hunter for me. Both offer interesting ways to play for me.
Cool

Some things to consider for new players when it comes to best class ruclips.net/video/T5j5rCdc4zM/видео.html
I just started too on Angmar, look for Valenduil my hunter.
Mini and Guard are at the top rn for me

Thank you.
You're welcome!

@@Renfail I especially love the new changes they made to it for the lore master
