I think I learned more here than in a normal lesson in school. Maybe because there weren't 25 other children making noise and there wasn't the other teacher walking around looking across your shoulder at your work and making you extremely nervous. But I still learnt more. Thank you for making this.
That’s it. I’m failing science. I give up, imma go to sleep, do my test, fail, parents evening is soon but I honestly don’t care I’m 3 years in & im still clueless I don’t know anything & my teacher is such a bad teacher ffs, when my gcse science comes ik imma fail & I give up tryna tell myself I can do this I CANT DO THIS!!!!!!
I'm here cuz I'm trying to understand what pH means in an rrl so we could get our research questions done, while my groupmates don't want to talk to me much and the other member hasn't contributed anything for the past 5 weeks and I'm frikin scared cuz research is a new subject to me and it's hard to form ideas that are very advanced. AND I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY I'M IN THIS ADVANCED SCHOOL, HECK I'M STILL IN GRADE 9 HOW ARE WE ALREADY LEARNING ABOUT RESEARCH. I SHOULD'VE STAYED IN MY FORMER SCHOOL OR JUST STUDIED ART CUZ I REALLY LOVE DRAWING INSTEAD OF SCIENCE (cuz my school is called science high) AND I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THE NAME MEANT ANYTHING OF IT LMAO, ALL I KNOW IS I'M STRUGGLING IN THIS SCHOOL RN, help
That's pretty cool. The only thing I didn't get then was that reading of 0.01 on the pH meter... so on a scale of 1-14, that doesn't exist. Sorry - a bit clueless on this one. Thanks.
The scale should actually go from 0 to 14. Did we say from 1 to 14? If so, we've made a mistake that you've managed to spot by asking this question!! Where in the video was the pH meter? If it said 0.01 it probably was meaning to show that the meter reads to a 0.01 degree of accuracy (so a pH of 6.65 for example rather than just 6.7 or 7)
This is just an introduction video so we didn't want to go too far into detail about it being a logarithmic scale etc. But if you want more detail, I can send you other links.
Strong acids (like hydrochloric acid) that you see in the lab have a pH of around 0 to 1. But acids can actually have a negative pH: Fluoroantimonic acid has a pH of -31.3
they are called bases, not alkalines because alkalines are bases which can be solubilized by water. all alkalines are bases but all bases are not alkalines
if we add sulphuric acid in two test tube having equal amount of water if pH will be same another if we add sulphuric acid in two test tube having not equal amount of water then will it give different pH if yes or no why?
There is red and blue litmus paper, both can be used to check the pH of a solution. Red litmus paper will stay red in acidic solutions and will turn blue in alkaline solutions. Blue litmus paper turns red in acidic solutions, and stays blue in alkaline solutions.
To test how acidic/alkaline something is. For example, our oceans keep getting slightly more acidic because of pollution and maybe global warming, so soon everything in water will die. If it carries on even more it might be dangerous to even touch. Hopefully this helped you understand a bit more.
Because those acids and bases come from nature. The lowest acid = fluorantimonic acid with a ph of -25 And the highest base is n-butyllithium These are made by humans and so they arent natural

Thanks for watching! Glad it was helpful!
I love watchin' some random chemistry videos; but it really hits different when you have to watch it because of online learning.
Im doing online lessons and i don’t understand anything the teacher show us
Same
Exactly 😂
Same😂😂
Yup lots of acidic homework for me too
I feel like the exams for the pH scale will be hard😢😓😞
Who's doing this for online classes?
raddean321 me
Meeeee
Me!
me and im bored af
Me sadly
pH scale was shown online class by the teacher . So it was easy to understand it
Think about it if RUclips just banned learning stuff on it we wouldn’t have to do as much work
BlaDe_HappyG yes I wish
hmmm
That is a terrible thing to do, I love learning stuff from RUclips.
Wdym we'd have to do more. We'd have to order books and stuff bc we can't go to the library, wait for a day or maybe a few, then study our asses off
@@redify9758 I think theirs something wrong with you

u in college yet?
Thanks for this helpful video !
Glad it was helpful!
This helped me a lot I have a exam tommorow
Hope your exam went well!
This should video should be renamed into “pH Indicators” instead.
Who else is doing this for science in quarantine?
me
Me
Me. This is like the 3rd youtube video and I haven't even got through the whole 'revising' sheet yet.
Yes write sir thanks a lot 😍😍😍😍
No problem!
Helped alot!
Thanks!
No problem! Glad it helped!
wow
that's wonderful thank you very much 🌹
All the subscribers are teachers
that's making things so easy now! thank you
We use yellow litmus paper for analyzing urine.
YES!!!!! Thank you!
You bet!
Thank you so much. You helped me a lot:):D
Glad to hear that!
Your explanations are actually very great and helpful...truly amazing animations too!
Glad you like them!
wow nice vids!I don't need a teacher I need to watch some videos
Can you state two simple indicators please I need it for my test 😬
Awesome!
Thanks!
Lets face it we are doing this for quarentine
Thanks this was very helpful for my revision! :)
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for sending us this video
Thanks for watching!
Thank you
Cool !

Is it possible for some substance to be neither acidic, basic, or even neutral?
Water is considered both acidic and base... perhaps even neutral
Thank You Sir...
You're welcome!

On some images it starts at '1', and others it starts at '0'. So I always thought '1 - 14'. But wasn't sure. Thanks for the clarification.

not denying though this is a good video thanks
Thank you too!
Thanks bro. It helped me a lot.
Glad it helped 👍
Sir why pH scale have 14 no. Why can not less than 14 and why can not higer than 14? Plz ans.
for neutralisation reaction is there should be equal amount of H+ions in acid and OH-ions in base
but a really really great vid man
Thank you!
*THX*
Welcome!
*OMG THANKS I AM LIKE UR BIGGEST FAN*
That's awesome! So glad to hear that 😃

what does PH stand for
Chemistry test tomorrow. Sad times.....
Bit late but good luck
why do you call it alkaline? is it not bases? also can you do a video on acids in clarity?
no alkaline is different to bases alkaline dissolves in water
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
thanks for you
please answer me
our body work within which ph range?
Your body pH fluctuates throughout the day, but normally stays between 6 and 7.5.
Nice video ... Bro tell the meaning of PH i mean Full form.............!
This is just an introduction video so we didn't want to go too far into detail about it being a logarithmic scale etc. But if you want more detail, I can send you other links.
It means the power of Hydrogen...you know the concentration of hydrogen ions in a solution, or how acidic a solution is
thank you. i don,t understand what is PH .
Thank you so much, i was absent for school yester day and this was the lesson!
You're very welcome!
So why did you try to learn it then?
really helpful! thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
i am doing this for online classes
Thx I'm gonna ace my test tmr!
Hope it went well!

Then what is 11 ones you see in text book 11 is up to the 7. the7 is normal wt is 11
Thanks for this video, it really helps me alot😊
Glad it helped!
Yay fun😒
what is the ph of the strongest acid
Please answer quickly
Strong acids (like hydrochloric acid) that you see in the lab have a pH of around 0 to 1.
But acids can actually have a negative pH: Fluoroantimonic acid has a pH of -31.3
@@fuseschool sir how it could be! Could you explain to me as pH scale is0-14 . How it could be negative
Drain cleaner is an alkaline or base.
Sorry but i cant find where i asked
It's perfect and nice but too fast and short
that was greatly helpful 😭♥️ thank you for your super clear explanation ♥️
You're so welcome!
I really wanna thank these guys, but I don't have money...
Can I work for you?
What can you do? 😉 send us an email.
Anyone else here for online class?
Why we use Alkaline instead of Writing Basic
thanks for your answer
Corona time
they are called bases, not alkalines because alkalines are bases which can be solubilized by water. all alkalines are bases but all bases are not alkalines
you sound like the RUclipsr Sea1997
if we add sulphuric acid in two test tube having equal amount of water
if pH will be same
another if we add sulphuric acid in two test tube having not equal amount of water
then will it give different pH
if yes or no why?
there is difference in ph. because h2so4 containing more ph than water.
hello other students who let a middle aged teacher tellus how to live our lives

👍
Hi
hi
You misspelt "vinegar" & stomach acid and hydrochloric acid are the same. Helpful though.
Thanks! Noted!

nice
Wait i thought red litmus paper was for acids and blue was for alkalis???
There is red and blue litmus paper, both can be used to check the pH of a solution. Red litmus paper will stay red in acidic solutions and will turn blue in alkaline solutions. Blue litmus paper turns red in acidic solutions, and stays blue in alkaline solutions.
what is the purpose of the pH scale?

i have a gun to put to head being forced to watch this, pls help idk what he did wiv my mum
Why pH paper have only 0_14 digit
Because those acids and bases come from nature. The lowest acid = fluorantimonic acid with a ph of -25
And the highest base is n-butyllithium
These are made by humans and so they arent natural
Hmmmmmm it's nice
it's very interesting to learn about this

You cannot explain pH without mentioning *H+ ions*
