I tweaked my back the next day not even on the bike and I have been down for almost 2 weeks.

One thing my buddy taught me when I was learning decades 30+ years ago was continue pulling up through the whole trick. You're on your way down nearly every time you try to jump around the headtube - You want your front tire rising as you jump off the seat tube. I promise you, practice that for awhile and you'll get it!

    Love the Haro elbow pads!
You're pretty much there with the first steps. Try to think of the jump as all one motion. You're still thinking of it in stages. Try to jump and use your arms to pull the bars to the left and under you as you jump. You'll then have more room to spot the landing on the right side of the bike.

I think the hard part is finding the fluidity of the jump which kind of led me to try and break down the parts. Getting that spring motion to mesh with the boomeran type motion just not there yet. I love the Decade. I saw you pull off one on the Strike ZOne. YOur bikes are so sick man.. Thanks for taking the time to comment and for the tips.

@@kidwilson3357 Thanks! The main mental hurdle is jumping to the right side of the bike onto flat ground. From there the landing is icing on the cake. 👍

@@kidwilson3357 Chris nailed it. I'm not good at most things, but I can still decade. You're really just way over thinking it. I had to force myself to slow down when I was relearning it. I focus on getting that front leg over the head tube. It's more of a step over, you still have to hop, but it's much less of a jump than you'd think. Definitely one fluid movement.

I'm currently trying to learn this, but I'm having the issue of my tire slightly rolling back when trying to jump.

@@switchy3108 You could try different brake pads. Clear pads are the most grippy.
You could also hold your jump just a little until the bike is more upright so there's less backward force on the bike.

yeah budddy a lower endo might be something to try I remember using some high lighter tape on the top tube to help see the landing

I have to take a leap of faith I guess. :) Thanks for the tip and comment! I enjoyed your California Vlog from your recent trip.
