    In my opinion, the state of Pakistan is a masterpiece of the British Military establishment especially General Montgomery. It shows the farsightedness of the Bririshers that they wanted to use the state of Pakistan as a buffer state between communism and capitalism and that's what we did in the cold war and the Afghan war.
    2ndly I think Dr. Sab 1st wrote his thesis and then he researched and wrote the book.

    I have tremendous respect for the author of this book. I am familiar with Dr Ishtiaq’s intellectual work and this book as well. Unfortunately he already had the conclusions before he started writing this book. This is evident in his talks and interviews over the years. When end has to be justified that means conclusions have already been drawn. Then all you have to do is start connecting different events and facts to this conclusion. This makes the intellectual work & conclusions tainted with bias!

    I have read his JINNAH.. and after going through your podcast my take on this ( Garrison state) subject is that, he had already a script in his hand/head, and he has to just add something and make a another narrative... Anyway I feel Pakistan is having problem, certainly, of ARMY, by ARMY, and for futur of /for ARMY
    ..

    • @ReviewswithUsman

    If it is clear that the British wanted to make a separate homeland in the North East then why did he write a book about Jinnah? Did Jinnah really want Paksitan?

    • @ReviewswithUsman
      @ReviewswithUsman  2 года назад

      Haven't read that book but the premise of that book is completely different.. that's more on the life and works of Jinnah sahib.

    I have heard Dr. sb who was not sincere with the creation of Pakistan. His background is from Khaksar and Harar groups. I am sure you know a similar critique then tried to stab Quad e Azam too. So I think he is out with same flag to deny the creation of Pakistan. I think present situation in India must be a time for him to correct himself. Now how Pakistan came in being what were the motives or intrigues behind it and who were the front men or leaders antecedents to creation of Pakistan. Why Dr sb is adamant to deny creation of Pakistan. Whatever was the reasons behind British worked out strategy for a separate country. It came into being as an independent country free to adopt any system willed by the people. I failed to understand Dr sb what he wanted to bring out of it once state is in existence for so many years. His views after creation is alright and debatable.

    Pakistan was built by the type writer of quid e Azam, who collected feuds to protect their awarded lands from nationalization program of nhru. Encashed by liaquat to capture big cities of Sindh by his people in place of Hindus who migrated after Sukkur mosque dispute murders of Hindu leaders Bhagat kanwar and professor pamnani. Quid and other Muslims had no program for Pakistan to be implemented after independence so it creat vacuum for big powers to include army in power for their motives.

    Rename Pakistan Army. There used to be another very similar organisation called East India Company. They too were a profit orientated very large business, with lots of armed men, and a country to exploit. Let us show hands. Who is for the name change?

    • @ReviewswithUsman
      @ReviewswithUsman  10 месяцев назад

      Your argument certainly looks very compelling at the moment, but I think we have to look at the situation as whole starting pre-partition... I also argue Pakistan army as an institution needs to undergo through an evolution process otherwise they may not able to sustain their empire for long.
