Yes you’re very right. GTA 5 May have a much bigger map, more content, way more activities to do, more variety, three characters to play as, an active online mode, more rewards, customization and more, but in GTA 4 you can hit yourself with a brick!
I prefer gta v cuz its pretty revolutionary for gta but im playing 4 rn and having a fuck ton of fun with it. If gta v is better than gta iv then theretically gta vi is gonna be even fucking better and theres next gen consoles aswell. Red dead 2 was anounced 3 years after gtav so hopefully its anounced this year (3 years after red dead 2) tbh i dont mind if they delay it which they prob will cuz im pretty sure te last 4 games they made were all delayed as long as its announced soon lmao

I really hope they are joking but honestly I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't meanwhile us 5 fans give valid reasons as to why 5 is better such as we can fly planes we can parachute we can dive underwater we can scuba dive we can fly blimps we have animals on land, in sea, and in the air we have a much larger map that captures la and bakersfield perfectly and you won't get bored from the completely urban setting that 4 has we can buy businesses we can solve mysteries we have a military base we can break into that military base and steal a rhino tank we have a much larger selection of weapons the missions in 5 are creative and fun most of the times and aren't like 4's drive from point a to point b kill the target and drive back to point a we have more vehicles we can modify our vehicles we can get tattoos we can get haircuts our protagonists have special abilities our protagonists have stats for stuff like lung capacity and shooting and driving that we can build up to max the most annoying thing about 4 fanboys is that they can't even give reasonable defenses for gta 4, if they gave valid reasons like gta 4 having great single player dlc or that it has less grindy and more griefer proof multiplayer than I'd be much less annoyed with them but instead the ability to crouch= superiority to them
