Faustin tried to warn Niko on the mission which Dimitri sends you to kill him that Dimitri was a snake, and that he would eventually fuck Niko over too, which he indeed did. Twice.

Vinny Sharma Faustin and Dimitri were partners for a long time, they went to prison together and Faustin saved Dimitri from getting raped at one point. They were just like brothers, but as time progressed, Faustin probably knew Dimitri had friends like Bulgarin behind the scenes and was plotting to take over. Knowing this, it was probably the reason why Faustin was going insane, since he knew he was going to get back stabbed at one point, yet he couldn't kill the person he appreciated as a brother to him. Same reason why Dimitri had Niko kill Faustin instead of himself doing it, they had a bond with each other. This is why Faustin kept Dimitri around, because of the bind these two shared, it's a tragic story like this that makes these games' storylines much more interesting
Jalen Arvin: I'm sorry but I disagree, if I were Faustin? I'd have Dimitri whacked the moment I felt he was an untrustworthy rat! In the Mafia, it's a very dicey game and you can never be too careful, also it's like the saying goes: friendship and money are like oil and water, they just don't mix. It was because Faustin had this bond with Dimitri that he ended up being betrayed. Also Faustin was out of control and was asking to get whacked at some point. Also if I were Dimitri, I'd have never had my best friend whacked, I would've just waited until Faustin destroy himself (which was inevitable) that hit on Petrovic's kid was gonna lead to war no doubt and with Faustin's crazy methodology, he would've made a mistake which Petrovic would've capitalised on and moved on. Dimitri could've walked out of this thing Scott free and not had to contract Niko to whack Faustin. I'm just saying...if you're really that close with someone? You would NEVER have the heart to ice 'em, because that only means that you never really truly shared that close a bond to begin with.
Vinny Sharma I can't disagree with you about friendship and money can't mix in the mafia, but you have to consider why Faustin was going insane in the first place. Think about it, he had it all, a huge Russian mob, a big house, a family he loved, and a friend (at least he thought) whom he trusted. How would you go insane with all of that in your life? There's no way he would've went on the path to insanity without some kind of trigger, and I believe that trigger was suspicion of his friend, Dimitri, plotting against him. He must've known this at some point before he was trying to destroy himself before Dimitri could, and yeah, all mob leaders should know about the friendship and money rule, but maybe, just maybe Faustin was one of those guys who was just trying to change the rules for themselves and not having to kill his own best friend
With great power, comes great responsibility, and clearly Faustin wasn't wise with his power, thought he could try to bend the rules a little bit, but it ended up being his downfall

Let's review Roman's problem he blamed on Niko:
"I got my computer smashed" - Albanians smashed his computer because of debts - *Roman's fault.*
"I was beaten up" - Albanians again - *Roman's fault* plus Niko helped to get rid of Albanians.
"I was kidnapped" - Kidnapped by Russians after killing Vlad - *Niko's fault.*
"I was shot in the stomach" - Mikhail shot him, because he was screaming and he told him to shut up - *Roman's fault.*
That concludes that Roman is a kind of a hypocrite.

I can't help but feel sorry for Roman but at the same time, I also can't help but think he blames Niko for too much. If he hadn't allowed himself to build up debts from gambling, Niko wouldn't need to use his skills as a soldier to solve all the problems that keep facing him.
Alot of his problems aren't because of Niko. He was in the gambling debt with the mob long before Niko showed up. Niko may have escalated things, but the one who put himself in the mess to begin with was Roman.
To be fair, niko saved Roman from a lot of the people trying to kill Roman when he owed them gambling debts.

You can use the taxi cabs. Money is useless in the game anyway and you probably only spend it on guns so I don't think money is not a problem in the game.
+Sgt Rohn That's a pretty sad method of saving an open world game. In GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption, you can save anywhere. Without having to skip looking at the in game world. Heck, even Xenoblade Chronicles knew that.....
The game had autosave. It saves everytime you complete a mission.

In one of the gta4 trailers niko is shown with a shotgun walking past a burning apartment. Of course at the time I thought he did it but it was Romans apartment after all!

This mission hits different at night
This mission is so sad because Roman talks about his dream of marring Mallorie, a better cab station and about having a son, but it was all for nothing since his apartment and cab station got destroyed.
Thank god the Simple Native Trainer can reverse the effects of what happens here... anyway, did you even knew that Niko's house is replaced later by a fleet of shops in GTA Chinatown Wars and Roman's Cab Depot is repaired too in this game? Could Niko own both of them after he was rich after IV? He is mentioned to ''run all of Liberty City'' by Lester in GTA5.

Things that Roman did that was “fine” before Niko came to LC:
- Gambles into illegal private card games.
- Owed money to Vlad.
- Loan Sharks coming after him when he couldn’t settle their debts.
- Letting his fiancée sleep to the man who owed him money.
- Being unfaithful to Mallorie. (e.g. going to strip clubs and nightclubs hanging around with other women, no wonder Mallorie cheated on him)
*chuckles* Yeah, all of this seems “fine” to me.
