I just stayed at the Golden Gate in late July. It was the cheapest room for a last minute booking (2 days before) and overall not a bad place. After tax and resort fee it was around $86 a night for a single queen. It was in the older part of the hotel facing Plaza. The air con was having a difficult time keeping up but it was 115 outside and the windows are tall and not insulated so had to keep the blackout curtains closed the whole time. The vibe in the casino was nice, great music playing and I love being so close to the action on Fremont. Next time I may consider either The D or Circa but I would definitely stay at Golden Gate again.
Thanks for sharing that info! The Golden Gate, while not perfect, definitely has it's old school charm and being so close to the action on Fremont St is a huge plus. I have a soft spot in my heart for cool old places that have found a way to survive and thrive (just like me lol!!!!) 😂
Unfortunately no :-( The price went up to $1.99 in 2008, and $3.99 in 2013. It was sold in the hotel's deli until 2010, and then in the 24-hour diner, Du-Par's, until Du-Par's closed in 2017. Gone forever 💔😥
Im convinced the cushions are for families to build forts for their kids in the fancy suite. Nice tour👍come say Hi and check out my Vegas room tours. Best wishes Brian. Relax and enjoy the ride
A LOT cheaper. I checked and to stay one night (this Tuesday Oct 22nd) it's $66.61 (all fees included) for a one queen bed room at the Golden Gate and it's $398.89 (all fees included) for a one king bed room at Circa. To rent the Golden Gate Penthouse Suite for Tuesday Oct 22nd it's $743.48 (all fees included) and for the Circa Founders Suite it's $1415.90 (all fees included). 😃
Nice relaxing tour description. I bet your good at dad jokes .lol Seems that las Vegas has lost interest on bringing in average tourists with average budgets . I’ll stay away until that changes and watch channels like yours. If your interested , the RUclips algorithm recommended your video to a viewer not far from Toronto , Canada . ( me) Cheers
Since they upgraded me for there being a problem with the Original 10 room I booked, which was only $66.61, that's all I paid. I checked for what the Penthouse Suites usually costs and it was $623.00 ($737.83 with resort fees included) for a week night and up to $998.00 ($1,161.58 with resort fees included) for a Friday or a Saturday night. Best upgrade I've ever received lol!
MUCH better than I expected for downtown!
Right!?!? I agree! 😃
Thanks for the tour!! Love your humor!!
Thank YOU! 😃😃😃
First time watching your channel. You have a great personality.

Yes the Dupars restaurant they had was great. Huge Prime rib.24 hour breakfast. Sad to see it go.Thank you for the tour.
You're welcome! I know, it's so sad to see a great restaurant get replaced by more slot machines 😫
RIP Dupars pancakes and shrimp cocktail too. Well, you can go to Siegels at El Cortez for 24 hour Prime Rib, $19.99. And its very good.

Do they still serve their famous $0.99 shrimp cocktail in the bar?!

I wonder what type of play, would get you comped to this?
Gosh, I'm assuming slots or video poker but I'm not completely sure cuz I didn't use the coupon. My bad. Sorry about that 😳
Awesome upload my friend well done
Like and support here keep it up cheers 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks! Love your "Flying Over Seattle" video! 😍
excellent video
Thanks! 😃
Can you smoke outside? I mean is it against the rules?
The Golden Gate offers smoking and non-smoking guest rooms. Plus you can smoke outside on Fremont Street. Cigarettes, not cannabis lol 😜
Click on What link to find out about your food option????????????
I'm so sorry, haven't finished that video yet :-( But as soon as I do I'll put the link here 😃
Did they deny you for wearing jeans or you read the dress code and didn't try?
I read the dress code and didn't try 🙁 I probably should have at least tried lol!
@TravelingWithBryan yeah I think you would've been OK. I've seen videos of people up there in shorts and t shirts, that's why I asked
