Aint as heavy as modern midsize Cars. Ive got a 82 hp Peugeot 208 which does pull pretty well too for that tiny Engine. For daily drving such Numbers are fine really.

Because of my passion for this car, I used the latest generation Astra classic 2 2008 1.6 Twinport for 14 years. The most trouble-free engine in this car is the z16xep (astra h engine). Especially this car from Opel, just like the Mercedes of the 90s, would arouse great passion in the person who drove it and owned it. I think it still is. I am currently using the 2021 Astra K. It may be hard to believe, but I still ride cars of this brand without any problems and I am happy to have this experience. As a real Opel driver, I am currently remembering my first car, Calibra..

I have an Astra G like this with this 1.6 8v engine. Great car, great engine. Before it, I had a Kadett E 1.3. It also served me well for 17 years .I will be looking at getting the next car Astra J 1.4 16v or 1.6 16v petrol engine.
I have owned the same engine and I can assure you that it is very sharp even though it only has 84 horsepower. Very reliable, in 6 years I've had it not a single problem and I always drive aggressively. As a negative point, the consumption was similar to a v6 hehehe
I have learned drive with this car... We had 1.6 16v version. I remember it was very responsive when you hit the gas. It has very good weight/power ratio. I made 210 km with it.... Good old days :)

This Astra G looks more like the older version 1.6 8V with 75bhp (interior suggest it (1998-2001) and also the gauge cluster). And this engines were extremly realiable, simple to maintain and quite peppy for their low output.
Nichts Besonderes, aber immer noch besser als Radfahren. Den Unterschied wusste man damals zu schätzen, wenn man 10 Kilometer zur Freundin musste, aber den Opel statt das Fahrrad nehmen konnte.
I have an opel astra 16v 101 ps 2000 year model, it shows 205 km/h on the speedometer but in real life it's only 185km/h on the gps in my garmin drive, you have to count off at least 10-20 km/h or 5-10 % at those speeds, it also depends quite much on the size of the wheels the speed it shows on the speedometer

It's impossible for 84hp cars to reach 200km/h. It's either the chassis is very light or going through a downhill road

My first car was a 1993 Opel Kadett cabrio 1.6 75hp (last of the breed). I guess 8 years of evolution does give you an extra 9hp 😄 great video!

looks like your thermostat might be broken? notice the engine temperature decreases a lot as you pick up speed
