-in the spring, a pair of purple swamphens live in this beautiful wetland

-one purple swamphen put its head down while the other tickles it
-it is mostly active in the early morning and dusk, and hides in the reeds during the day, it mainly feeds on insects, molluscs and aquatic plants
-length: 45cm - 50cm, wingspan : 90cm - 100cm, weight 600 - 650g
-lifespan: live on average 9 years
-breeding peak season from September to January
-there are 3-7 eggs per cluch, and the incubation period is 23 - 26 days .
