Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm happy found my ideas inspiring. Creating the new bedspread was such a delightful project, and I'm glad it resonated with you. Happy sewing!💜
The pink and white is beautiful for your bed. Nice finds. I’m fairly unlucky when thrift shopping. Haven’t seen anything so nice as your find. Good catch
Thank you so much! I feel fortunate to have come across these pieces. Thrift shopping can be hit or miss, but it's always exciting when you find something special. I appreciate your kind words! 💜💜
That lace table cloth is cut work. Broderie anglaise is the cloth with the eyelets. There’s some beautiful cloth there. The shirt deserves embroidery on both sides and your dress deserves embroidery on the back too; you want to give as much impact when you leave 😊
I’m mad for old linens, thrifted fabric and used notions. I found a brand new 100% linen chambray duvet in rust and brown that I want to make a Jean style jacket and a workwear jumpsuit. I’ve made wrap around pants from an oval linen table cloth as well as a blouse from a damask piece. It’s so fun and satisfying to reuse these pieces.
I identify with your passion for upcycling old linens, thrifted fabric, and used notions into new garments! The idea of turning a 100% linen chambray duvet into a Jean-style jacket and a workwear jumpsuit sounds both creative and practical. Keep up the amazing work 💜💜💜
Glad I came across your channel!! Love your ideas with the beautiful tablecloths and fabric. Great idea for the sweater!! Can’t wait to see the finished garments!!!
You have great taste. The coverlet is perfect for tour bed. Create a pattern for bed pillows instead. And, of course make the pillows to match with your coverlet.
Thank you for your kind words and the wonderful suggestion! Creating a pattern for bed pillows to match the coverlet is a great idea. I'll definitely consider it for future projects. Happy sewing!!💜
Thank you for joining me on this journey! The pink bed cover is such a lovely piece, and I'm glad you like it too. Stay tuned for more projects to come! 💜💜
Keep that bedspread intact! It e so beautiful. Love the idea for the puffed sleeve. My best friend's father was Filipino and wore very similar shirts you describe. I can't remember what they're called but they have a name. There's a Cuban shirt in that same style as well. You have such great linens to choose from, the selection around here is getting slim to none. Even if I find something it's usually badly stained. Really looking forward to the makes and have a wonderful trip♥️
Thank you for your lovely comment! I'm excited about the projects ahead, and I'll definitely consider your suggestions. I'll do my best to bring out the beauty in the linens. Thanks again for your warm wishes, and I'm looking forward to sharing more! 💜
Hi Christine! Your ideas set my eyes sparkling! I cannot wait to see the garments made up! I’m excited about the jackets. The afghan is not so attractive imo, but Oooh the pink coverlet!! Keep it on your bed! Have a great vacation! 😊
Hello! Thank you for your enthusiasm, it means a lot to me. I'm glad my ideas have sparked your interest! As for the afghan, I understand that it might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I'm excited to see what I can do with it. And don't worry, the pink coverlet is staying put on my bed - it's too lovely to let go of. Thanks for the well wishes for my vacation! 💜
Wow!....can you imagine the cost of all these garments that you make out of these fabulous fabrics that you have purchased if you sold these in a high-end Department store.❤
I'm glad you enjoy seeing my thrift finds and creative projects! It's always fun to share ideas and inspiration. Thank you for your kind words! Happy sewing!💜
Very nice selection, can't wait to see your finished projects ❤ Also if I may, that white eyelet fabric is way too pretty, I wouldn't use it for pajamas 😊😊
Thank you for your kind words and your input! I appreciate your thoughts about the white eyelet fabric. It's definitely lovely, and I'll keep that in mind as I decide how to use it. Stay tuned for the finished projects! 💜
I'm a new sub rubber love this video . what beautiful ones. Can't wait to see what you create with them . I can envision the island vibe shirt .I think the pink bed Cover should be used on your bed .its georgeous . love your video !
The cloth with red embroidery is definitely my favorite. Also love the striped duvet! I would make a maxi dress with it. Though honestly I don't have the height to pull off those bold stripes!
Glad you like the red embroidery cloth! The idea of a maxi dress from the striped duvet fabric sounds great, even if bold stripes aren't your preference. It's all about finding what suits you best! Happy sewing!💜
Beautiful finds! I can viosualize every project you describe, except for two. The romantic pink coverlet would probably work best as... a coverlet. IMO as a knitter and crocheter, the crocheted multicolor blanket might convert to a poncho but it's a long shot. It's easier to refashion machine made knitwear into something special. Handmades rarely make the leap; the fibers tend to be too worn, or not of high enough quality, or not dense enough to handle cuts and seams elegantly. I have however seen stunning cashmere cardi remakes where a plain sweater takes on an artisanal look with tone-on-tone appliques, beading, ruched organza ribbons, feathers, matching freshwater pearls, unusual buttons, and more. Monochrome neutrals tend to be easiest to make into something elegant; brights can easily dip into christmas crafty pieces. But I hope you don't listen to us and do what you want, it's a thrill to see what you can conjure up. The white-and-orange tablecloth dress you've been wearing is my favorite. Can't wait to see your results, plus a report from Mallorca!
Thank you for your insights and suggestions! Your perspective on refashioning handmades is valuable. I'm glad you enjoy the white-and-orange tablecloth dress. I'll certainly take your thoughts into consideration as I work on these projects. Stay tuned for the results and updates! 💜💜
Lovely haul. I would like to see your sweater. I would also like to see you take some old cashmere sweaters and turn them into a new top. Love your pattern but I struggle. Unlike you I am an inverted triangle, so all that fluff in the sleeves is not a good look. Also have you considered doing cup sizes?
Thank you for your suggestions! I'll keep in mind showcasing the sweater and exploring ways to transform old sweaters into new tops. As for pattern options, I appreciate your feedback on cup sizes and catering to different body shapes. I'm always looking to enhance my patterns to suit a wider range of styles and figures. Your input is valuable, and I'll take it into consideration for future designs. Happy sewing!💜💜
I totally understand! Sometimes the fabric is so lovely that it's hard to imagine cutting into it. But with some careful planning, you can create something equally beautiful from it. Happy sewing!💜

That paisley bit needs to be a tunic. Arabian style tunics are cut really interesting. The edge of it would work really well for the center panel.
What a unique idea! Thank you for the creative suggestion!💜
