I ❤️ your site! I’m a long-time sewer and think you’re very talented Lately I’ve been thinking of creating garments from thrift stores I’ve recently relocated from Atlanta to Tampa where I’ll have to source the local thrift stores in my area Thank you for this video! ❤️
We have a Savers thrift shop in my area and I always check out the bed sheets. I look for 100% cotton sheets to make pajamas and kimono robes out of. Pure cotton is hard to find and the price is as high as silk nowadays! With the width of the sheets you can make whatever you need for a few bucks!
I always look for vintage bark cloth as you can't find it very often anymore but you can find drapes that are made out of it and it's a quite expensive if you were to go on eBay and purchase it
love seeing creators here in Atl!! i was shocked, you went to my local value village, wonder if ive ever bumped into you there 😂 light floral curtains are always my go to when im thrifting fabrics, sooo nice for summer clothes 😌
Hey! As a sewer myself I was wondering if you ever have like failed projects you were really looking forward to finishing? I was wondering how do you deal with that? Personally I get in this rut where I like question my abilities and stuff and was just wondering what do you do if you feel the same?😂
This actually happened to me today haha. I feel the same way, but I realize that I should look at it as a learning opportunity. I'm not going to know how to do everything exactly right on the first try, so all I can do is go for it. If it didn't work, it didn't work. I usually spend the next day doing something other than sewing, then I get back to it. (with an easier project lol).

I haven’t started sewing yet but this is great advice and a fun watch 😂
I love using thrifted materials. It's cheaper and eco friendly.
