Just hearing this song for the first time in A LONG TIME.... wow forgot how much I related this to my now ex-husband and I. 24yrs together started dating at 15yrs old. I was 38 when he decided things needed changing. Devastated as crap I went through life day by day and it's been 6yrs this past Oct, and some days I find myself reliving that huge part of my life when SONGS COME ON or just watching TV. I know that everything happens for a reason and I have always said that. Never did I think that at 44 yrs old my life would be drastically different, but In my heart of hearts I know God had his reason. I'm still sad and will always love him, but just sometimes, we have our life plan and already know we gonna live it the best and right way possible. I never once thought about us not being together..
It was the other way around.
Growing old and sitting in our rocking chairs on the front porch taking care of each other, because we tried for children, even did invitro and all whn he told me he pretty much was not happy. To Me I each out to give him a hug and kiss (because in 2013 Oct we lost my granny and 2013 Dec we lost his dad...who we moved in with them not long after we got married) so I'm going in to hug and kiss him because we had been grieving and not together. I'd be in bedroom he would be in living room. He didn't want the hug and kiss because he was getting ready to say those words and I was flabbergasted, shocked, confused and any and every feeling😥 that day changed my life forever and like I was saying God knows why and why most of my life was with him. Sooo anyways this will always be one of those songs. And it doesn't make me sad it makes me wanna sing evert word loud and best I can.
