'Ejaculate' used to be more versatile as a word before it became taboo: For example, it could also be used to mean "exclaim". I believe the word is used 23 times in the Sherlock Holmes canon with Sherlock alone being responsible for 6. So, I'm even sure if that Australian used the wrong word as much as it was just a very old Australian.

Jasper Carrott has been telling the same jokes since the 1970s. Luckily those jokes are timeless and still funny no matter how many times you hear them!
I first heard this routine in ‘91 (minus the last one with the kangaroos, because the BBC was more puritanical then than it is now).

In the Sherlock Holmes books there are 23 ejaculations of which 11 are accredited to Watson and 6 to Holmes, there was one occurrence of a man ejaculating from a second story window! Ejaculate used to means a loud exclamation in speech. There is a short QI clip that goes into it further.

There is a lot of truth to what Jodi said.
Some people that seem the happiest are actually battling overwhelming personal demons and are very miserable on the inside but they fall into a certain type. There have been psychologist studies on this phenomenon and the same type of humour defence traits kept coming up.
People like Robin Williams, Jim Carrey, Will Smith etc who over exaggeratedly use comedy as a defence mechanism, always playing the clown, very performative in their humour tend to be unconsciously seeking acceptance continually and unrealisticly. They find themselves isolated and their facade is so honed by this point that none of their loved ones see it coming.

I knew the outcome before I had the audacity to put in my first Insurance Home Buildings Claim in the 40 years since I owned this house that I bought in 1983, on the very edge of South East London and Kent. The claim was for the extension roof that required maintenance and for those who do not realize, unless there is a "One-off problem" like a storm , fire or flood then you are not covered because 90%+ of Claims are rejected through "Wear and Tear". They always employ the loveliest, sweetest people to break the bad news to you, making it far less likely that you will rant and rave about the rejection. How does INSURANCE work? YOU pay the Premiums............. and that's it....😥

Off he trots and when he comes back, he complains that someone has nicked his pen. His friends are like what? You mean someone has scored it with a knife? Jasper is then like “what?” Everyone is totally confused. And for our American friends when something is nicked in the UK it’s been stolen, not attacked by a knife wielding maniac….lol

I have to tell you my frinds claim, still makes me laugh 30+ years later.
He was driving on a tiny single country lane, on his left was a tall hedge on his right a large stone barn wall. 2 horses were infront of him so going extreamly slow. The hourses started going towards the gate to a farm which was attached to the barn, so they could pull in for him to pass. As the horses passed through the gate a turley belonging to the farm lost it and started charging the hourses to attack.
My friend was near the gate as the 2 horses backed out with one riderby now and smashed the front of his car to bits. I would love to have seen the first person who had to read that, they must have stopped the office saying "i'v got a good one" and started reading it. They did pay up.

Ejaculated! As English teachers hopefully, you're not teaching A Sign of Four to a bunch of 14/16 year olds! 🙈

When she suggested you needed to lose weight given the impression that you are fat, is that what they call a Freudian slip?

Please don't talk about them. While we were making love my wife said, "Yes! Oh yes! Oh my God Sigmund!!"

Comedians did benefit concerts of Amnesty International and one is called "The Secret Policeman's Other Ball". This was done in 1981
I have the VHS for it and Jasper does that skit there... He's been doing the same routine all this time.
He even did it at an Oxford University debate over who had the funnier comedy - the US, or the UK
It is because of this continual unoriginality that I do not like him at all

It’s a reaction. If you just want the clip watch the original video.
