This is an excellent and very smart design. I tried to find the template for this project on your website but cannot find it there. Can you please let me know where I might find it? Or if that can be posted here please. Many thanks
Just finished a copy of this for a mate's granddaughter, thanks for the design. Loved working on it and learnt some new skills.

Enige tijd volg ik je kanaal op RUclips, mijn complimenten. Erg leuke video's.
Bij het maken een paar opmerkingen over de template:
1. Heb je het paardje nog afgewerkt met een lak, welke? Welke diameter en lengte hebben de handvatten? En heb je deze ook verlijmd?
2. In de template is punt 4, is volgens mij -22.5 ; 32. Ik kreeg anders geen rechte hoek.
3. De hoogte van het paardje ontbrak, ik heb nu 3.5 cm aangehouden (met de handige liniaal die je gereviewd hebt! Echt top).
4. Met wat wiskunde heb ik straal uitgerekend van de onderkant, dit is 51.22 (of 922/18) cm.
Hi, bedankt voor je reactie. Ik heb in de template de dikte toegevoegd. Deze was oorspronkelijk 4 cm, maar omdat ik de template uiteindelijk overal heb moeten afronden zal deze idd zo rond de 3.5 a 4 cm zijn.
De punten zijn met name een richtlijn. Je zal deze naar eigen inzicht een beetje moeten afronden. Belangrijk is dat op deze wijze de balans redelijk onder controle is.
De handvatjes hebben een diameter van 12mm voor de kleine en 20mm voor de grote. De lengte is gevoel, weet ik niet meer precies. (ik heb op dit moment geen exemplaar meer hier om te meten)
Ik heb mijn hobbelpaardjes niet afgewerkt omdat ik dat matte blanke wel mooi vindt. Wanneer ik hem zou aflakken vind ik hem te geel worden. Maar dat is natuurlijk smaak.

Hi Dennis, magnificent project I am now finishing the horse for my nephew, I would like to ask you something, in the project the measurement of the height of point 1 is correct in 9 cm, because from the drawing it seems higher, in fact the horse is unbalanced forward, thanks, keep it up!
Hi Roberto, If I see the picture I think you are right. I am a bit confused about why I measured that wrong! I am a bit busy at this moment but I will look at the template and see what it should be.

What thickness of ply did you use and what height was it . If the plans are available to buy or download. Please let me know. Either way would love to have them , as it’s my grandson’s birthday at the end of April and would love to make one for him 👍
Hi Dennis, wat een geweldig mooi speelgoed! Ik heb maar één vraagje. De ronding aan de onderkant van het paardje, heb je die uitgerekend, of eindeloos met potlood geschetst, of is daar een slim foefje voor om die goed te krijgen? Kun je een tipje van de sluier oplichten? Alvast vriendelijk bedankt!
Volgens mij heb ik het zelf al uitgedokterd... Als je op basis van de tekening een rechte lijn van punt 1 naar punt 15 zou meten (58cm) en je behandelt die lijn als een zijde van een gelijkbenige driehoek (3x60 graden), dan zou je precies tussen 1 en 15, 58cm vanaf zowel punt 1 als punt 15 een spijkertje kunnen slaan en daar een potlood aan vast knopen om de ronding van punt 1 naar punt 15 te tekenen... Klinkt dat plausibel? Ben heel benieuwd ;-)
Hoi Jaap, dat gaat richting mijn oplossing. Ik heb de template neergelegd een touwtje en een een spijkertje gekeken van af welk punt ik (spijkertje) het uiteinde van het touwtje wel punt 1 als 15 raakte. Toen een lijn getrokken volgens deze "swing"
Leuk dat je het paardje gaat maken! succes ermee!

Do you have a link for those raised bench dog tops?
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I particularly like your workbench/router table and would like to know more about it. Is it your own design? What is the gray material used for the top and one side? Are you using 20 mm holes with MFT spacing? How do you use the side? I suspect there are other features of this bench that have not been shown and would appreciate hearing your thoughts about the bench's design and use.

My Workbench/router table is my own design. I think I will make a short film about it in the next weeks because I really enjoy working with it and especially how I can place a fence on it. This is my third workbench and so far I really like to work with it. So that is wy I want to make a review about it so perhaps people who like some ideas can implement them in there own workbench.
The black surface is full colored MDF. This is really a very nice product to use on your workbench. It is much harder then MDF, it has a higher density than MDF and it is very good to work with. When the surface is very dirty you can easily clean it with some sandpaper and it is as new. It is not slippy and very straight.

Thank you for responding and for letting me know about the material used. It is difficult to get material like that in the United States, but I believe it will be worth the effort to find it. Anything thicker than 18 mm will be a real challenge.
A video describing your workbench will be much appreciated as yours is one of the nicest I have seen. I am looking forward to learning more about it. The way you designed the side wall with fixturing holes is brilliant. Hearing how you sized it and why you arranged the holes the way you did will be very helpful. I would also be interested in the accessories you find most useful. For example, I had not considered supporting a panel the way you did so that a jigsaw could be used to cut out the center material. Very nice. And the way you included the router seems very effective. I would also like to hear about any improvements you have in mind.

I am busy with a first impression video about my Festool Kapex but after that I think I make a video about my workbench or a video about some china tools I have and are worth trying. One way or the other, I think it will be ready in about 3 weeks.

Neat Design. I would reconsider the handles though as they look like a problem waiting to happen if it happens to fall over onto some flesh of a young one. I would use wood that is rounded on the ends. Just my thoughts...
You are right about that. I put a plastic cap on it to improve safety. Good point!

Geweldig design. Zou er graag 1 maken voor mijn petekind. Klopt het dat je multiplex gebruikt van 18mm en dat je er 6 tegen elkaar plakt. Het zou gaan over de kleine versie voor kinderen van 1-4 jaar. Alvast bedankt.
Yep, Ik gebruik radiata plywood omdat dit nog enigszins te betalen is, en het heeft redelijke hoeken. en inderdaad 6 delen.

İ just draw the little one but it seems alittle small for my 19months old girl ) the one in the video is the big one?
Ok how did you get the template that smooth and right on point?)) my template is not as good as yours =) Did you use CNC?
No, try to multiply the small one with 1.5 I just cut it and sand it to be smooth.

Hi Dennis, just a tip: your heading, "making off" video ...is not correct English. I would suggest "Making a modern, funky rocking horse" .... no need to use the word "video". If you do want to stick to "making of" then it should be one "f"

But the thickness is 18mm and the black material is Full colored MDF. It is like valchromat, only cheaper.
But what I understand it is not easy available outside the Netherlands and I do not know why!

It is what we call, full colored mdf. I add some info with the description of my last video
@@HookedonWood Yeah, thanks. I read it after watching even more of your vids. 😃 Here in Austria it is called the same - "vollständig durchgefärbtes MDF" - which means full colored MDF, too.

Hallo, je had ook een plantenbak gemaakt met uitzicht van MDF maar dat is het niet.....uit welk materiaal bestaat deze bak dan aub?? Bedankt voor info.
Het materiaal van de planten bak is een speciaal soort MDF. Medite Tricoya Extreme.

Het gaat onbehandeld 25 jaar mee in de grond en 50 jaar boven de grond. Een uitzonderlijk plaatmateriaal dus. Daarnaast werkt het nauwelijks. Ik vind het heel plezierig om mee te werken. Het enige nadeel is de prijs. Een plaat van 240 bij 120 zit al snel op de 160 a 200 euro voor 18mm.

@@HookedonWood Zeer interessant en bedankt om mij te informeren! Mijn zeer oude deur van mijn serre is versleten en misschien is dat materiaal daar geschikt voor. maar de deurstijlen zijn 45 mm dik en dus zou ik 2 platen moeten op elkaar lijmen om daar dan stijlen uit te zagen maar dan nog zijn ze dan maar 36 mm dik. Misschien beter om stijlen te laten schaven bij de houthandel in Meranti of Padouk misschien? Groeten vanuit België!!
