I’ve Muskie fished the eagle river area a lot but haven’t done much ice fishing there. Best thing you can do is go on the WI DNR page and research lakes. Most lakes in that area have walleyes. dnr.wisconsin.gov/topic/Lakes
It sure was! I live in Green Bay so we’re getting about the same weather as you. I traveled about 3 hours north of GB on this day to find ice. But keep in mind, the day i fished was just before all the rain and warm weather
Jealous! Nice catches. Been wanting to do the 3-4 hour drive north to go ice fishing. Worst winter ever southern 2/3 of the state. Worst part is, I have access to a livescope and built a Smitty sled this year and can't use either. How long do you think until bago will be fishable, if at all?
Sorry have been gone for a year, i'm 'back'! Have been in 'AUS', I missed the birth of your Boy! (P.S) Say hi to Crista for me! Keep your Line Wet! Rockford ILL!
Great video, been enjoying my time up north. Not the biggest fan of 3 hour drives but been lucky enough to put some really nice eyes on the ice. Let’s pray for some cold weather!!
Yup I’ll take it! Was a fun night on the ice chasing flags.. looks like there’s some cold weather on the way after new years so hopefully it’ll stick around long enough to make good ice 🤞🏻🤞🏻
I would think the ice should be good again up north by next weekend. @@CNCoutdoors ... remember your video from A yr ago on the same lake and recognized the landing .... caught A 22" walleye few days before your trip there , slot fish , ....my go to lake early summer and first ice , got secret spots too on " secret " lake ... generally , the walleyes run good size between 15"-20" , it's fertile water so growth rates are good
@@JAB00777 nice! well I’m glad your smart enough to keep the lake name to yourself 👍🏻 definitely going to be a good lake in the next couple years by the looks of it. Nice mix of eater walleyes with a chance to catch big ones as well.
@@CNCoutdoors ...think it gets stocked with walleye fry every other yr , as most lakes are done that way ... remember one yr all I caught was 14" walleyes . @@JAB00777 yeah i haven’t done much research on it but I’m sure it gets stocked. All the fish we were catching were the same year class 14-16”. Your spot on about those tiny perch 😂 there’s a lot of them!
Nice video, I grew up in Appleton, fished Winnebago, and Lake Michigan alot & GB.
Always good to see some old home places.
Thanks! We love fishing GB, Lake Michigan, and Winnebago waters.
I love spending time watching your videos I wait for the newest ones 😃
Glad to hear! 🎣
Have you fished the Eagle River area a lot? Looking for short list of lakes in that area to try for walleye.

Looking like a good time.

@@CNCoutdoors thanks for your reply! Out in the boat on Wed and nothing going on for perch. Looking forward to ice!
Looked like great fun. How far North was this. I'm in Sheboygan WI and were having 40F if not more. Just general not the lake.

Thanks!! The drive definitely sucks but the view is worth it! Always fun to get up there a time or 2 every year. Praying for a cold blast 🙏🏼 🙏🏼
Awesome video. Glad you had fun. I been quite few times but the ice took a crap
Thanks! Can’t wait for it to get cold again and make some ice around home
@@CNCoutdoors I hear ya. Was doing good on Dubay by Stevens Point area

Good action for the first time out. Not looking good for ice down here so far this year.

What was the date of fishing? Ice has to be terrible now there.
12-22-23 I’ve been told the shoreline is completely junk and what was nice good ice is now honeycomb and sloppy. We need cold weather ASAP!!
Love your videos… you should try a catch and cook video
Thanks! I’ve done a few in the past, I’ll do one at some point this winter I’m sure 👍🏻
Fish a different lake,
I probably will next time i head up north
F L A G!!!!!
If you ain’t having fun chasing flags you don’t have a pulse 😂 😂 ⛳️ 🏃♂️
Nice video .... I know what lake you're on but lets keep it A " secret " lake 😊 ..... somewhere between Superior and Green Bay I'd bet 🎣
Thanks! 😂 😂 dang you figured it out!
