Yellowing was my biggest fear with this mold, being all-white. Dammit. If they're gonna make yellowable plastic like this, they really gotta start making them use phillips-head screws instead of these pins, so I can disassemble them and fix the affected parts more easily
...you know that white plastic _always_ yellows, right? So they're not "making yellowable plastic", *all* white plastic is yellowable.
Or better yet, flathead screws so they can actually be removed without shredding.
@@JomasterTheSecond some white figures don't yellow like this. Siege Red Alert, ER Wheeljack don't have such problem

They can't make it not yellow, that's how plastic works
By the way; you can take the front of the shoulder radar off, attach it to the back of the gun, then in jet mode place the gun backwards on the top (like in the comics jet mode.) Best weapon use for the alt mode by far

Also let’s you entirely fold away his cannon in bot mode

This figure is genuinely one of my favorite legacy figures! But mine is also unfortunately yellowing/greening. Luckily wave 3 of legacy has the new plastic so maybe they’ll repackage this guy with the new plastic

I can't find anything on Jhiaxus yellowing and it's pretty well documented figures that do, even recent ones like Motormaster and Buzzworthy dinobot. The 2 whites around the hip/legs are separate colors for some reason. This is not yellowing, it's just a weird coloring choice
The red guns stores great on the back in jet mode. First take the sensor front part off and put it on the back of the red gun. Then peg the red gun in backwards on his back. Looks great imo.

Jhiaxus is my favorite Transformer. I'm so happy that after almost 30 years, this guy finally got a G2 perfectly accurate toy with some badass articulation

I'm not really interested in him. Never read the G2 comics. But he looks like a great figure. Aside from the yellowing/greening, of course. Although I will say he looks incredible with ToyHax's stickers on him!
But I do hope they retool him into another character which I _am_ interested in. 😅
I've made the arguement this figure could be remolded into a pretty convincing TLK Megatron.
Yellowing is so frustrating, especially the more noticeable it is.
Saturday I went to my local toy store and saw Legacy stuff: Blitzwing, Soundwave, Galvatron and Jhiaxus aka mustard thanos. In the end I went for Lego Optimus Prime and I'm the happiest I could have been

4:12 I feel the backward and forward foot articulation on the grapple mold isn't terribly common
For those wrists, a small amount of whatever you use to tighten joints on the tab and it won’t pop out as much.
The front of his shoulder scanner can come off and attach to the back of his red gun then that gun can peg on top backwards to look like his scanner
Mine hasnt yellowed yet... I hope it stays that way because he is my favorite figure in a long time!
My copy has the same Hand-Pannel thing issue. Sometimes it doesnt even tab in
I got mine back in late June early July and he had discolored hips right out the box. It's a shame because when I started posting images people didn't seem to believe me.
The shoulder thing can also split off and become part of the main gun in jet mode.
I wonder if some dry brushing will help distract from the discoloration?

You could use this figure as a good base as a G1 style TLK Megatron
I don't like the color scheme personally, but granted I haven't read the comics. If he gets repainted as the Thrilling 30s version then I'll pick it up.

I'm intrigued that so many like this robot so much, because I just don't see it. Okay sure, Jhiaxus looks that way (haven't gotten to those comics quite yet) but can't say I like his looks at all, and the alt-mode just looks extremely bulky and gives me "flying-brick" vibes (*cough*APEFACE*cough*). I will get a Jhiaxus, but I'm aiming for the Thrilling 30 version instead.
We like it because it's accurate.

Get the toyhax set will cover up the spots that a changing color its a great set too
Man, the yellowing is making me more worried about my Victory Saber.
I was chucking at people who were constantly complaining about Motormaster but I actually found yellowing parts on my copy. Even if this guy yellows..I love it for a non animated character. I'll just paint it.
You forgot that the shoulder thing can actually untab from the thing and go onto the gun while the rest of the shoulder thing can fold away
I love this figure to death but the one thing keeping me from picking him up and messing with him are the knees. The knees on mine are loose AS SIN and so is the right elbow. I have no idea how to fix it and there's no way I'm buying a second one. Other than that, fantastic figure.
Damnd dude, mine arrived today and its the same, knees though not so much and right elbow. We might have one from the same batch

My Netflix Soundwave has turned green... it lives in a cupboard away from direct sunlight and heat. I am based in the UK. It's unbelievable that Hasbro can get away with this...

Amazing figure except for the fact that the yellow bits on mine are almost like green now
I don't have any yellowing on mine at all, so I'm good there, but I noticed from brand new the greenish color of that hip plastic. I think that it's not TURNING green but already had a slight green pigmentation from the manufacturing. It's not really noticeable unless you look for it, and on a mostly white figure from a company where a lot of people have yellowing issues, I'm going to guess people will look for signs of ANY discoloration and find that.

Someone should start a class action regarding the yellowing plastics. It's better if someone from the states does it first, then do a Canadian class action. I can't join it, because I haven't encountered it yet.
A transformer that can hold a rifle with both hands... What's not to love about that level of articulation?

I got one and he is perfect. I love him and think he looks great on my shelf. I do wish he had more articulation in his shoulders but besides that I have no complaints👍👍

I must live in a magical location in the United States where my figures get more indirect sunlight than you see direct sunlight in a decade in Canada, and the only figure I have any noticeable yellowing on is the Shattered Glass Starscream, and then it is BARELY noticeable.
I have over half the Combiner Wars figures, and essentially the entirety of Titans Return, POtP, the WFC trilogy, and all of Legacy so far.
Are you SURE your room lights aren’t the problem, generating more UV light than you realize?

I love this figure. The arms in alt mode are my only complaint.
I got him for my birthday and he's a pretty cool toy
The grabby hands and the gap under the nose cone makes me thing this will be retooled into Thunderwing at some point.
My favorite parts of this figure are his face sculpt, obviously hes smoldering like theres no tomorrow
But his arms! They’re huge!! And square and I feel like he could take out a building with his shoulders alone
The drawback is that they absolutely RUIN the vehicle mode, without them he’d be flush as hell

So hasbro increases prices, decreases quality, and decreases the longevity of the figures. I hope hasbro goes bankrupt or their new ceo gets strung up.

yellowing is so frustrating. i got the newest release of the sh figuarts frieza and the head i was using started to yellow right under the purple on his head. so freaking frustrating

@@ThatToyGuy power rangers lightning collection is also having the yellowing and discolored plastic issue. Hasbro has increased prices and decreased quality.

Really wanted this figure but with yellowing on the rise and all that white plastic, I cancelled my preorder. Beautiful figure though… such a shame..

I’m really starting to get fed up hearing about yellowing.
It’s bad but like I’m just fed up with hearing it so much, I love this figure too much
Just out of interest, have you been displaying him in an area where he is getting hit with natural sunlight, either direct or indirect? I am wondering if the yellowing is the plastic being turbo sensitive to sunlight, or if it's something else unstable in the plastic. My copy (also among the first wave sent out/pre-ordered the day it was announced) has not begun to yellow yet, and quite a few other figures (like Netflix Soundwave) that I have seen other people show heavy discoloration happening on, my copies are fine. I have them all displayed in a space where they don't get any direct sunlight (all the sunlight coming into the room is passing through a UV filter too), but I always wonder if it's a ticking time-bomb, or something I don't have to worry about given the way I display my collection.
Can also confirm I've been keeping my collection out of the sun, and they've all been fine so far, Jhiaxus included. I do think the awy the plastic is mixed means degradation is inevitable, but there's a lot you can do to lessen it. Worst case, paint it!

actually, if everyone even had pre.order, in my opinion those people should cancel it. Hasbro needs to be hit hard to start do something.

ALSO...I feel they were more interested in making an accurate action figure, that looks so amazing, and then vehicle mode , someone had a stroke and thrown the ideas out.

I avoided this guy due to all the white. I’d love a shattered glass version but all that white doesn’t look good to me even if didn’t yellow. I know it’s accurate but it still doesn’t look good in a toy.

I don’t leave my white transformers outside. So there fore they don’t yellow as much.

Victory Saber is coming
This figure is prime for weathering and panel lining, with all that white, which would mitigate the discoloration of the white plastic. As for the figure, robot mode does indeed look awesome, but jet mode is so lame. A common issue with legacy figures that aren't based on real vehicles.
At least Toyhax made some labels for his thighs
I didn't want to get him because of this.. I haven't looked at him in a while. I checked and so far seems OK. my Maverick looks so bad . worst one I have. turned dark yellow
