Having played the headstart for the last few days. I can personally say this is easily worth the 30 bucks for the sheer amount of content, even before getting to 50 will keep you busy for a VERY long time and beyond. I haven't felt this overwhelmed by an mmo since Everquest and it's overwhelming in a good way.
Been playing it religiously for the last days, and the only thing to say is: PLAY IT. A masterpiece of a game like this only comes around every 15 years.

For anyone curious its' actually more useful to have more than one character. Your energy/contribution points are shared across all characters, meaning you can earn more based on every character earning them, and not having equipment level restricted means you can make better armor(or buy) for your class or another, put it in storage/bank which is also shared and power level yourself. It kinda feels for once, that's there's a little something for everyone.
Leveling is also part of the endgame in this game. This is probably the first MMO that I've ever played that I didn't wanna rush to lv50 right away cause there are just way too much content along the way. Also, there is no level cap, there is a soft cap at 50, but after that it gets slower and slower to level. I've seen one person grinded for 2 days on my server and got lv51 already though. Everything you do in this game is ranked, even gathering and crafting, or even how much money you have.
I got the conquerer pack for this game, so I've been playing since early Sunday morning and let me say that this game is so worth it. If you're on the fence, hop off and buy it! You won't regret it.
This is one of those games that I've never even played but I just know that it's gonna be one of my favorite games of all time. Please come to PS4 soon. Thankfully, TERA is coming to PS4 first so at least I can play that while waiting for BDO ^^

I didn't want my husband buying this game. We were burned by Archeage. So I made a character to try it out (yeah, I'll try this stupid game that my hubby wasted money on). I'm only level 16 even with the headstart because I can't get through all the massive content. I'm in no rush. Crafting is intense. Taming horses. Breeding horses. Fishing that isn't too sucky....and if you find fishing sucky, you can afk fish.

MysteryBounty KR/JP/RU, all have p2w elements. Ours doesn't. Buying game (30€) and buying pearls even with such large amount as 140€ is still less than buying WoW and playing it for a year with monthly fee. With 140€ worth of pearls you basically can buy all you want but SADLY for only one character. I agree the prices are fucked up. However nobody is here to entertain anyone. They are here to make money.

games like this kill my spirit I want it very bad but it is 2 of my conflicting deal breakers 1 I don't play MMOs on my PC multiplayer period I don't do it with an office in house that uses a deal of the WiFi and I just really prefer a fine tuned experience on my computer 2 it's not on consoles which I do play MMOs on and multiplayer like warframe if it was single player I would get it and let it take over my life if it was console I'd download it and play it and enjoy myself I really do wish it was the former because I really Love rpgs I love love love them and I wish developers and publishers would spend as much time meticulously detailing and fine tuning a single player experience into a master piece such as this seems it may be if not now definitely in the near future with it's potential.

I get what you mean, but then you run into a Ubisoft situation. Yeah, their games still look great but they don't look near as good as trailers will tout them as. These developers are showing a beautiful, honest to god, representation of their game and I prefer that. To each his own though.
