Curry Love considering that auto tune wasn't released until late 1997, I think it's safe to say Mariah didn't use it on this album. There is most likely reverb added to her vocals here though.
Auto Tune has been around way before this album was even written lol. People think auto tune polishes vocals, makes them sound clean, etc. No, not at all. Auto Tune just simply tunes the notes. If she were flat or sharp while recording this, then auto tune would simply put her notes in the right key. During the recording of this album, its pretty obvious that Mariah had studio help. Hell she even had studio help while recording her first album, and she admits it by saying “a lot of songs on that album were overproduced compared to the demo versions”.
