My family and I love & adore you! Thank you for always being honest and kind.
I stan a week with 5 months in it. Lots of love Katie!! They can’t all work out 💗💗
12:21 That was such a pretty scream that Caleb let fly! Soap tragedies!
Hey Katie, how do you normally discard batches like this?
I've always wondered that. I wouldn't want to put it in a trash bag because it's so liquid-y, and if the bag rips, I wouldn't want anything caustic getting on the garbage collection people.
Sad not to see a response to this, as it seems like a really important question? Particularly if anyone's doing a similar process at home and also has a fail!
@@anna_in_aotearoa3166 i bet they have some sort of hazardous waste container( think they might have to by law don't quote me) for disposal of failed batches and have to call a special company that can either collect it or they can at least take it to somehow.
Thank you for showing us the test batches! I LIVE for the science part of soap making, and testing theories is *chefs kiss*.
Katie, you’re looking beautiful today. I always love your videos!
I love how you do videos of failes/mistakes and don't just show the ones that come out perfect, so many people are afraid of failing and its not something we should be afraid of but take it as a learning experience instead and with your positive attitude it helps show the younger generation that its okay to not always be perfect
I've never clicked so fast. I refreshed my subs and caught a royalty soap upload before my notifications. :D
Love seeing Scientist Katie at work! Obviously it sucks that things went wrong, but I'd love seeing more soap experiments (exsoaperiments?) in future! It's so neat to compare the results of the different ingredients.
I loved that subtle ice age reference, I make the same one all the time and no one ever notices 😂
what was the reference?
I just kept watching and thinking how beautiful it looked. I hope the replacement looks as pretty. The colors are gorgeous.
Even though it didn't turn out, it still looks beautiful!!
Thank you for sharing this with us. I think it’s important for us to see that even the bigger company’s go through soap fails still after years making soap.
It's great to see her keep it real that not everything works out
Thank you so much for sharing this. As a soap maker this was very informative. My husband and I had fun taking bets on the culprit of the separated soap. Thank you! 🧼💕
You have been looking extra beautiful lately!!!
Thank you for your help over the years of helping the soap community I really ❤you and your interaction
I love your background and aesthetic!
This was fascinating, loved to see what can go wrong. I've had fragrance oils act up too
Looks like you’re gonna have to make a lot of coconut candles 😂
Katie your hair looks amazing in this video!!
The soft waves frame your face amazingly
“The first week to have five months in it” oh Katie. I love you.
I love how you chat with us. Today was my first day at work and I loved it and was really proud of myself, and one of the first things I want to buy with my paycheck is bars of soap from your shop.
Ok, the high pitched Luke Skywalker meme 🤣 Perfection! I'm assuming I have Caleb to thank for the belly laughs.
Caleb is such a great editor 😂
Thank you for making this video about your mistakes. This video is evidence to show that nobody is perfect in anything as well as the learning experience for me to test my batches before combining them thank you!
I’m exited for the new collection! Hopefully he next batch turns out better!
I got my first ever order of Royal Soaps and LOVE them. The scents can be smelled in the whole house! I am addicted. Thank you Katie for the amazing soaps!
I don’t even know how i came across your channel in the first place or why i clicked on your video one day. I am in fact allergic to soap, but i am happy i did because i love your channel! ❤️❤️❤️
The soap that stayed like dry putty happened to me with a dupe of Warm Vanilla Sugar and I was SO disappointed because I LOVED the fragrance. It was such a gorgeous frosted soap too. My kids wound up using the soap frosting from the tops because it was so much soap that I didn’t want it to get trashed and I hadn’t put any F.O. in it.
“This is the first week that has like five month in it” will play over and over in my head for the rest of the night
AHHHH this happened to me for one of my batches!! I was so sad and just had no idea what went on. I'm glad to see your process and know that this happens to even the most experienced soap makers! I haven't have the heart to make another batch since my EPIC fail in December. I probably need to make another batch and try again!
Not gonna lie, I saw the thumbnail and I thought you were making macaroni soap! 😆😆😆
I thought bananas! Lol
Love so much that you use your fails to help others succeed.
I’m still waiting for my soap from the last collection 😭 no shade at all to RS, USPS is usually really slow especially coming to Canada and with covid it’s even slower, I’m just impatient and I’m so excited to get them! 😂🥰
This is so helpful to see in action; I've just bought the materials for the beginner orange soda bars and I'm so excited to get started in soapmaking!!
"now that all the everything is added in" Katie Carson, 2021
Thank you for sharing these! These are actually my favorite. Not only to make me feel better about my soap problems, but to see experiments!
"this is the first week that has like 5 months in it..." I feel you, sister. I feel you.
This is why I bought soap from Katie. She is amazing and very picky and knows her stuff!!!
I'm going to use this to review the scientific method with my middle schoolers. I'm curious if you normally keep pH strips around to test soap, and if you did that off camera. It would be interesting to know the pH of the cured bars.
I love the scientific approach to the problem!! It's very interesting, because I learned to do soap with your Royalty Soap Academy series and this kind of video teaches more about soap making!!!
