Finally somebody did it right by not pulling the movie cases in and out while displaying the titles.
    Awesome picks!!!
    Thanks for sharing!!!

I agree about what you said about 4k I'm planning to get only blu rays I realized that blu rays look amazing and I really don't need 4k Ultra hd

Great collection. I recently started collecting Blu-ray’s and replacing the dvd versions of movies I have. Big difference in screen quality. I agree with what u said that Blu-ray is good enough rather than 4K.

I don’t have 4K either. Not so sure if I wanna go that way either for the same reasons you said. It’ll cost a lot of money and I don’t know if I’m that desperate. I mean what exactly is the difference? Sure it would probably have better picture and sound but regular Blu Ray is good enough isn’t it? and don’t I need a certain sized tv to play them as well? Then again most people probably don’t buy Blu Rays and DVDs as we’ve got stuff like Netflix now but for certain reasons I still buy Blu Rays whenever I feel like it though I still have some of my old DVDs which I do occasionally watch.

Blu-rays are shown in 1080p Full HD, while 4K Ultra HD releases are shown in 2160p, which is 4K format. A majority of the 4K UHD releases have better video and audio than Blu-rays, but they usually lack extras, and they just keep the extras on the Blu-ray disc. Honestly, Blu-rays are fine for me. They look fine on my small TV in my room, and they look fine on the big TV downstairs in my family room. The only time I would buy something on Blu-ray a second time is if it gets a more definitive re-release (remastered video, more extras, etc.), which is what you saw on top of the shelf with the inferior releases. And I agree, most people just use Netflix or Hulu or whatever streaming, which I do like both, but what if I don't have internet and wanted to watch something? I could just pull out the Blu-ray or DVD and watch it there.

It's pretty hard to tell. There are several movies I like but I could never rank them from 1-5

What was the first Blu-ray that you got?

    • @Dan_Finnegan

Monsters Inc, but it is not the edition you see on the shelf. The first edition I got was the 2009 release, but it was technically my fathers.
