Once upon a time, in a lush jungle by a vast river, lived a clever monkey named Max. He spent his days swinging through the treetops, picking delicious fruits, and making friends with other animals.
One day, while enjoying a juicy mango high up in a tree, Max noticed a movement in the river below. Peering down, he saw a large crocodile named Carl near the riverbank. Carl was notorious for his cunning nature and sharp teeth, and most jungle animals were wary of him.
Curious and unafraid, Max called down, "Hello, Carl! What are you up to today?"
Carl opened one eye and regarded the monkey lazily. "Just enjoying the sun, Max. What about you?"
"I'm having the best mango I've ever tasted!" Max exclaimed. "Would you like to try one?"
Carl's mouth watered at the thought. "I would love to, but I can't climb trees like you."
Max thought for a moment. "I can bring you some. But you have to promise me something first."
"You have to promise not to eat me!" Max said, half-joking.
Carl chuckled, his deep voice rumbling. "You have my word, Max. I won’t harm you."
Max plucked several ripe mangoes, and climbed to a low branch near the riverbank. He tossed one to Carl, who caught it in his powerful jaws.
"Delicious! Thank you, Max" said carl.
One sunny afternoon, as Max and Carl were chatting, a hungry tiger named Tara crept silently through the underbrush, planning to make a meal .With a loud splash, he lunged into the water, creating a wave that knocked Tara off balance.
Max, who had seen the whole thing, was shaken but grateful. "Thank you, Carl! You saved my life!"Carl showing off his rows of sharp teeth. "I told you, Max. Friends look out for each other.
"From that day forward, Max and Carl became even closer.
