Late night adult swim was a whole new level of existence. Time didn't matter. I rewatched Bebop a few weeks back and finished it super late at night, the way it was meant to be watched 😂
I always thought Spike was caught in a time loop of death. As for Faye, Jet, Ed, and Ein I have no idea, but Spike is definitely trapped in an infinity loop of life and death.
@@tsugaru_solos Exactly! If you pay close attention to every time spike almost dies… it’s always the same head injury same side of his body and he just wakes up…. Then Julia tells him “It was all a dream”
2007. South side Milwaukee. I would leave wherever I was at the time to run home roll up and watch samurai champloo on adult swim at Midnight. Now y’all just stream.. was a different vibe to catch your show live.
Yo... Waiting weekly... Going to school & all that entails, growing up, maturation... Then every week, NEW Nujabes audio and Champloo... BEFORE it was on the Swim... it's a different age nowadays
I was in the Air Force when Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo were on Adult Swim. They became instant classics for me...I have all the episodes for both shows. For me, both shows had three things working for them: great stories, great characters, great music. I remember the episode where Ed and Ein left the Bebop, and it broke my heart. I loved the "Ying & Yang" relationship of Mugen and Jin and in turn they looked over Fuu like a little sister. That's how I saw it. Man, listening to this music brings me back to those Saturday nights watching Adult Swim. 😁
Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop are my two favorite anime series. The characters and stories were great, and the music in both was absolutely top notch.
There is NO reason this should've taken this long to hit my timeline just to give an insta-sub. Makes me wanna go back to the days of Samurai champloo, ghost in the shell, cowboy beebop, and inuyasha at 1 am.
Top 5 both series left a huge impression on me as kid they really dont make them like this anymore such a vibe and nostalgia both stories make you focus on whats matters not the destination necessarily but the journey and the memories and moments you make on it

Every time I rewatch bebop, Champloo, even space dandy my life feels like I'm always at the beach or driving through a desert searching for a part of myself I never will see again, or believe I can see still..
I found Nujabes last year and since then I cant listen to anything else, Arurian Dance the best one for me (once listened that on repeat for 5 hours on a trip)

damn idk why but when Faye says that it hits me so hard.I started to idolize spike- or at least just saw a part of myself reflected in his character. So when she pleas I felt as if she was pleading with me to not throw my own life away over one event, and when he just kept going it was almost like watching myself do what I tell myself to everyday. The weight is knowing the tragic end is what he wanted, almost like watching myself go through with it. crazy anyways ill be getting back to my brain numbing 9-5 wishing life were more less tragic.
Life is about more than the 9 to 5. And until humanity realizes it...we all float. The grind is manufactured, and our minds are torn between reality, and the reality we have created (as a society).
