    When I first got back into bowling about 5 years ago, I realized there was a lot of staffers out there. I had also come across your channel and though you were a staff member at the time, I appreciated the thought and consideration you put into each ball review and weren't just a Kool-Aid drinking hype monster. I was not a brand specific person and had always wished there was a guy with your knowledge when it came to all the other brands. Now that you are no longer on staff, my dreams have come true and I never thought I would see the day you roll a B.O.B. ball. As a second arrow lefty, I know it would be selfish of me to have you roll every ball that You come across. That would be a dizzying amount of balls for one person to roll so im glad that you have help. Can't say enough about how happy I am for you and praying and hoping for many, many more years of ball vids.

    I finally got my Archetype Hybrid drilled and absolutely love it right out of the box! Several 200+ games already. As a lefty rolling around 12-15 mph near the pins and 175-200 revs, this ball (along with the original Archetype) have been the most controllable balls that I have owned (and I own several). I went from being in a 140ish slump in league to low 200s. Just ordered a second one and a Theorem.

    I’ve been an SPI guy ever since I came across your channel a few years back. Very in depth and informative in your reviews which I always appreciated. Definitely gonna have to give a look at these B7 balls now. Also, thank you for saying which SPI ball is similar to the B7 ball in your reviews. Keep up the great work.

    Such great news about B7 coming to the party Luke! Your reviews have always been enormously helpful, and having the ability to make industry wide comparisons now is just icing on the cake. I've a mix of SPI and B7 balls (latest being the GB4 Hybrid which I love), so now my "must watch" list just got a hell of a lot longer. Couldn't be happier. All the best.

    Thank you as always for your in depth analysis. Was looking at the Tour Envy Pearl or Theorem for an Asym Angular ball on challenge/sport but now Archetype has entered the conversation. Nova is my "Big Ball", know you have mixed feelings on it but what would fit best between Nova and a pin down P2? 15-16mph, 300-350 rev righty.

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  Год назад

      Is it a regular Nova or is it a Super Nova? The regular Nova has a really weak cover, I know it's pretty strong with surface, but it's a marble when it shines a little, so that makes any kind of recommendations difficult if THAT is your big ball.

    Cross brand question
    Probably drilling a widow 3.0 soon, been mostly spi because of your reviews.
    Have infinite which i like but wanted something a little quicker so was thinking vebo, but the theorem has me very curious especially because I was a big triton elite fan.
    Theorem too much overlap with infinite or you think they can coexist?
    Rest of steady bag: p2, p3, revenant.

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  Год назад +2

      The Theorem is the sharpest one of it, VEBO, or Infinite, the VEBO is the cleanest one, Infinite is the earliest one, Infinite and Theorem are similar on strength, Theorem is a touch stronger, similar length. There is definitely some overlap between the Infinite and Theorem though.

    I have a BW 2.0 hybrid. What would be the better ball up? This archetype or the BW 3.0? I feel like you couldn’t go wrong with either, but the overall cover strength of the 3.0 kinda turns me off of it.

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  Год назад +1

      Depends on what you're after, I don't think the Theorem is quite ENOUGH ball up, but you might want to hang on because I've got a James 3.0 video coming where I compare it to the 2.0 hybrid so you'll get a good look at that at least.

    I'm a second to third arrow lefty that usually bowls on a wet house shot. I really get the most out of seeing you roll over 2nd arrow. I dont care about the strike I care about the comparison to my current arsenal or something close to it.

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  Год назад +1

      Yeah I know but everything for me just hooks too much from too straight. I'll be in the 2nd to 3rd arrow zone still, so I'll just start in the 11-5 zone rather than like the 7 to 5 zone.

    • @DaJesta088
      @DaJesta088 Год назад +1

      He can’t help you without testing on a wetter house shot. You won’t get an accurate depiction of ball roll on your house shot from watching LR struggle to keep a strong ball on the left side of the head pin.

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  Год назад

      Yeah and if I test on a wetter shot, then you're not going to get an accurate read on anything, etc. Specifics like that aren't what ball reviews are for, best you can do is get general reaction and develop a basis for comparison. See what my reaction typically looks like vs what your reaction out of the same balls looks like for you, then you develop a correlation between the two. So the look I have from 3rd arrow generally looks like the reaction you get from that ball from 2nd arrow, then you're in business.

    for casual league bowlers who want to do well. maybe 400 rev - 15.5 MPH / 2 finger no thumb style - what type of ball would you recommend? Using father in laws old ass ball. Have bowled over several 200's but just lacking knowledge and overwhelmed with how many options there are.

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  Год назад

      Probably a lower end/weaker ball. Generally you can get a good idea by price, cheaper balls will hook less. I think it sounds like you'd really like a Nu Blue Hammer. Smoother, more controllable, not super strong once you get some lane shine on it, it's a perfect league ball for higher rev rates and/or lower speeds.

    • @danielweisman6764

    I know you never threw the original Archetype, but you have seen it go down the lanes. By the sound of this review, it does not seem that the Archetype solid and the Archetype hybrid complement each other and you would choose one or the other for your bag. Is that a fair assumption?

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  Год назад +1

      Why would they not complement each other? I basically said this one was a longer and sharper version of the original, so they should complement each other pretty well
