Method 2: Why doesn't the check mark in magic grab appear when I click on the frame? I've followed your instructions every time I've watched it many times, but it doesn't work. How do I fix it?
Canva has updated Magic Grab since this video was released 7 months ago. It works a bit differently now with the new Canva interface. I have noticed since the recent update in May 2024, that Magic Grab doesn't always remove the image from the background anymore, it only creates a duplicate pop out. I think this is a glitch with the new update. I've already submitted a bug report to Canva to see if there's a fix.
@@thecreativekatstudio thank you very much
@@folkshopsvs6254 my pleasure! If I hear back from them about this I'll post an update here.
@@thecreativekatstudio Thank you very much for making good clips that help me gain more knowledge.
@@thecreativekatstudio @thecreativekatstudio I came to the comments with the same question. I appreciate that, in addition to fantastically well done how-tos, you also monitor and respond to comments, even months later! Class act. Thank you for your helpful videos and for staying on top of things. I hope they get back to you soon about this. :)
basically you need to do the old way method to make this work with the new canva update. 😂😂 Duplicate the image instead of using magic grab and resize it.
Sometimes, it’s better to learn the basics or fundamentals before we heavily rely on the advanced functionalities of the app/software because we don’t know when it will lasts. Either way, good tutorial. I’m just glad that I already learned the old way before I saw this videos. Not much of a hassle for me anymore.
Always learn the basics. 👌
Thanks for your feedback.❤ This video was made last. year long before Glow Up, so yes, the method is different now. However, it does still work. You just have to select the subject now and then Magic Grab will pull it from the image. If you want to see it, I recently shared a video showing how it works.🙂 ruclips.net/user/shorts7Zu3U-neTA4
Do I need to have Pro in canva?
Yes, using Magic Grab is a Canva Pro feature.
i tried to use this feature, for the effect as described, but when I clicked on the feature, it failed and the laptop did not respond, can you help me?
Magic Grab has changed slightly over the last few days with the new update to the Canva website. I have noticed there have been some hiccups with the new update where the screen will freeze from time to time. I recommend trying again or even trying to use a different browser.
this isn't working for me. when i hit magic grab, it takes me to another screen where it wants me to click and grab aspects of the image.
@@timothymeunier5657 the old version of Magic grab used to automatically grab the individual, but the new Glow up version now requires you to click on the parts you want to grab.
👏👏👏
The Magic Grab method may have worked before, but now that is no longer available in Canva.
