Nice! My son and I use HX Effects with solid studio and we love it! But I did just buy a hx stomp for me 😬 looking to build a multiple usage board...we will see how that goes. Thanks for all the videos you create!
Yes these pedals are cheaper but it works very well, I owned the Solid Studio and it sounds great live …. I can never afford a Mesa 4x12 Cabinet and. a Rectifier that I like but with an IR of a Triple Rectifier Cabinet with SM57 mic processed it sounds like you have those on stage and directly plugged to mixer of the venue…. It’s awesome sounding …. I wanna buy the atlantic next time …. So don’t be fooled … they maybe cheap but they work great, thanks to NUX effects.
I got the same problematic Atlantic nux. No sound when it’s on (lit). Is the firmware update the solution? Btw, first hour of use, it was ok. I unplugged, & then, it’s Not.
I was cracking up when you had trouble getting that patch cable in the input... I have the had the same prob with some of my gear... is it the cable? is it the input? AHHH! I'm too ADD to figure it out. Anyways, I love these vids man! And your narrative is always fun to listen to. Keep 'em coming!
It's got me switching up some brand names and using Donner, Mooer and Coolmusic pedals on my board. Between these 3 was just over $100. And bonus mini size. Well not so much the Coolmusic pedal, it's the same real estate as a Boss size. But even still with it there's just more room. And it's got cool lights on it.
If you really shop hard paying close attention to prices and shipping, we can still build a board for not to much for worship. I spend just over a grand but that's includes everything, board, cables, pwr unit, 16 pedals. I just took off 2 Boss pedals for a chance with the others already mentioned and I don't sell anything. So can't subtract money that way for me. Most sell stuff to keep it more even.
I wish they were around (to the capacity they are now) when I got into pedal board building back in 2013. I could have had a killer sound and a small setup for really cheap
@@TheArbiterOfTruth yeah man the cheap pedal market is great rn my favorite overdrive right now is a Caline Pure Sky. It’s fantastic. I feel like it really wakes up my guitars tonally and adds sparkly overdrive. I run it low gain but it has a good bit on tap. I’ve got a video about it on my channel if you want to check it out
@@budgetgearguru4211 definitely! Thanks! I currently don’t really need any pedals, I’ve got an HX Stomp, BigSky, TimeFactor, Mini Volume and an aux switch for the stomp on a Ghostfire Baby Max (think pedal train nano max). It’s perfect so far.
I think the reason you weren’t getting much drive from the IR Sim, is that it’s a Power amp and IR simulator; there’s no pre amp section in that box. I’d recommend throwing on your broken arrow all the time, and let that act as a pre amp. That will give you more gain and level
You're totally right, after I read the NU FX website on this pedal, that's spot on... If I had purchased this pedal I probably would have done just what Jimmy did, and immediately try and dial in a good "amp" sound rather than a cab/mic sound! LOL now I have so many questions like... if you send the THRU signal to your actual cabinet... will the cabinet now be colored? Or is it a typical (uncolored) thru ... Hmmm... not sure how useful but it is interesting for sure!
Yes! You are correct their. I literally did no research before opening. True unboxing. Not that I’ve read, I understand. Thanks for the heads up. I’ll def address it when I make a full video on it!

That delay is actually really surprising. For 150 bucks and the form factor, it is pretty crazy how good it sounds.
I know! And I finally got the delay in reverb pedal working. And got to play with it a little bit late last night. It sounds pretty good to
The Solid studio is meant to be used with a preamp into it. This pedal only simulates the power amp section. It´s a great pedal.

What overdrive do you use with it mainly?
@@HeyWorshipLeader usually klon and 808. Been using guitar for his glory presets but I will definitely look into buying your presets!
Jimmy, I really liked this video. Kudos!
Wow! Thanks man 🙌🏻

I don't see the description....Cool pedals though.

I gave away the pedal...but the firmware update seemed to work for me. If it still becomes an issue...I'd let them know!

Thanks man. Yeah, I think it’s the input. Too tight or something. Cuz I use the same cables all the time and never had that problem
Some of these jacks, we need to turn- spin- twist the input to push the lock out of the way. You do want it tight.
Hey how do you feel about the amp sim and cab??
Good video , Jimmy! These cheaper pedals keep getting better, it seems.
Yeah, I like them so far.

Sick video. Trying to put together a pedal board for church. Seems like everything is SOO expensive 😔

Thanks man! Idk it can get crazy...I'm still a firm believer that the HX Stomp by itself can hold it's own versus some of these other boards!
I’m here for a NuX pedalboard lol. They seem to be killin the game

Yes. Always giveaway time!
Cool!
I finally got the other pedal working. Needed a firmware update. It sounds good
So, I always pronounced them “nucks” not “new ex” 😂
God I need a new Mac.
haha...a lot of people do that!
First from Brazil!
Haha you win!!
