Mind blown! 🤯 I have some physical challenges and don’t always have the energy (or ability) to get up out of bed. This would allow me to continue to diamond paint when in bed. I could also use this idea to be able to diamond paint in my wheelchair without needing a table - great for travelling! Thanks for the great tips!
Thank you for the video. I'm new to diamond painting and I love it. I have my impromptu setup at the dining table. I have really bad neck problems so I always have to take breaks or end up with a migraine. I'm definitely going to try your setup. Thank you for sharing.
Oh I love love your set up! Thank you for sharing and taking time to create this video! I haven’t started diamond painting but always hesitated staring because of having to sit at a desk and do it...but wow I love that I can sit in my recliner and create! SoOo genius!! Thanks I have all the supplies minus the diamond painting and sticky mat! Oh boy here I go starting a new craft..lol. Thanks again! Christine
Thank you for sharing your lapdesk set up. I need to get one. I'm new to your channel. I subscribed. I look forward to watching more of your video's. Thank you.
This is genius! I thought about portability, then remembered I have a lap desk Im not using.Thx for showing how to use one for diamond painting. I own a portable Ott Lite so I should all set😍
Great setup! I've just been working at my desk, but I keep having to move it throughout the day as my work comes in. So now I'm off to buy a lap pad and some velcro and duck tape and hopefully I will find a pool noodle this time of year. Thank you for the great idea!
I’m looking at this video for advice of my own haha but I have a few tips for you if you want them :) I think it is cool your diamond sheet has strips of the paper that come off. My suggestion is to buy a pack of parchment paper rectangles- I got 100 pieces for 8 bucks!! Also, what I figured out was best for knowing what colors work for the symbols - get a container that has sectioned pieces “accessories for diamond painting” you’ll find them. Pop the stickers on with the numbers and symbols and it’s saved me so much trouble :)
1st time on your channel. I. Thought this video was really great!! I was wondering how u would use a lapdesk. Thank u for the info!!!! 💜👍🏼. Subscribed.
Jeanne Zacher I believe sticky mats are made for jewelry makers, it keeps the beads from rolling away. I found this one at Michaels, but I know they also have them on Amazon 🙂
Love the set up. I would like to do this for smaller paintings so that it is easier to do anywhere in the house. Unfortunately I am not from the US I am in the UK. Could you please give me the measurements of yours because that looks a perfect size. Thank you.😘😊🤗
Hi how are you? I’m new to the diamond painting art and I’m trying to get a few supplies I bought a light pad i got it yesterday so I plugged it up and started using it but one issue I have is the black strip is hot does that happen to yours?
So what do you do if the canvas is wider and you have to move it to the right? I will be doing a very large diamond painting which is much larger than even my drafting table.
If I was doing one that big, I’d keep it on a bigger table probably, but still use the pool noodle trick to keep the canvas rolled up and out of the way
Lisa’s Coloring Corner oh okay, well in that case, I would just roll it up, like I do in the video, and let the excess on the side just hang over a bit. Move it back and forth, left to right, just enough to reach the edges
HI, I was just wondering, when you roll the part that you have already finished to continue with the painting do you roll th e resins in or out? I use a lap desk all the time and bigger pictures can case me to panic. Never wss sure what to do with them extras. Clips can tend to mark your canvas and also tear resins loose. Thank you.
I tend to roll it whichever way the canvas naturally wants to roll, which is typically drills facing out. As long as it’s rolled tight, I haven’t had any issues :)
Kerry-Ann Mc8 the sticky mat I got from the jewelry section at Michaels! I think it’s made for jewelry makers, so the beads don’t roll away. It’s awesome though! Worth the $7!
Tracy Carr, your opinion and no reason for you to be rude to this nice lady. Many people enjoy doing Diamond Paintings for relaxing and occupation therapy. People also do them to decorate their homes or to give as a gift to be nice to others. Maybe if rude people would give it a try they would be to busy being productive instead of trolling to leave a rude comment. Rude comments are a waste of time! You should try a DP you may find it makes you happy!

You can use the cardboard core from wrapping paper.Use binder clips to hold the ends and you should be good to go!
How cool! Thank you!
Im new to DP so this was very helpful.
Tfs & take care 🌹
Why not use binder clips on sides or clothes pins
Can you tell me what make of lap desk you have. I can only find smaller ones. Thanks
I have an easel but I think this will adapt.......thank you. Will subscribe.
Once you have completed the portion that’s on the Lap pad what do you do in order to move to the next portion? Are you rolling up the completed part?
I wondered this too
Thank you so much!

Thank for explaining and showing. Would it not be easier to use clips or clamps or something?
Can you please tell me the brand of cover sheets that you use? I can't seem to find it on Amazon.
TY and great tips since I don't know what I'm doing! Lol
Thank you!
Thanks and very helpful! I have everything except for the sticky bead mat. Order placed with Amazon. Lol

VERY new to DP or maybe I'm just confused. WHAT IS and WHERE do you get a sticky mat?? 😕☺
Jeanne Zacher I believe sticky mats are made for jewelry makers, it keeps the beads from rolling away. I found this one at Michaels, but I know they also have them on Amazon 🙂

I love your shirt
Where did you get your sticky mat?
What size lap pad please?
TY for responding.
Nice! Where did you get the sticky bead mat? Good luck with Santa. Can't wait to see it.
I am curious about that too! I just got my first diamond painting and would love to set up on my lap rather than the dining room table!
Where did u get the sticky clear mat
Judy pritchett Michaels, in the jewelry section :)
I'm new and would like a lap stand. Where did you get yours? TY
Alicia Bell Target!
Wait I'm getting a a3 stand and my tablet light is a3 so I don't need to do that right?
Hi how are you? I’m new to the diamond painting art and I’m trying to get a few supplies I bought a light pad i got it yesterday so I plugged it up and started using it but one issue I have is the black strip is hot does that happen to yours?
Hugette Watson yes mine gets hot too. It cools down super fast though, so I just click it off for a few minutes :)
Thanks for all your suggestions!!!

5280 Diamonds unfortunately I don’t have a bigger table that I would be able to use for this. But thank you for answering.
Lisa’s Coloring Corner oh okay, well in that case, I would just roll it up, like I do in the video, and let the excess on the side just hang over a bit. Move it back and forth, left to right, just enough to reach the edges
5280 Diamonds that’s what I was kind of thinking. Not ideal but I guess it’ll have to work one way or another.
What size cm ?
where it target? how much was it? the cushion for your lap
Robin Eisenberg it was $12 at Target. I’ve seen them at Walmart too

Cause not case, sorry

Thank you for this information. I learn so many new things from these wonderful videos that have tried and true methods that you share
Oh okay because I was about to send it back, buy should it be doing that I’m just a little afraid 😱
Hugette Watson yeah I for sure wouldn’t leave it unattended!
5280 Diamonds yeah that’s what bothers me because sometimes you can forget 🤷🏾♀️🤔
Could you please tell me about the sticky mat.. i think it would solve a tonne of problems lol.. thankyou xx
Kerry-Ann Mc8 the sticky mat I got from the jewelry section at Michaels! I think it’s made for jewelry makers, so the beads don’t roll away. It’s awesome though! Worth the $7!

That’s a lot of work to get ready to start .
5280? You live in Colorado?
Vanessa Villegas I do!
you just ruined the canvas
chelsi irvine in what way?
well you ruined it by making the sides of it crinkly and how will you even do the diamond painting go do it on a dining table
Sorry but what a waste of time
