Got a Civvi Elementum in OD green a few weeks ago...been EDC'ing it. One of my favorite knives in a while! lightweight yet buttery smooth action with a incredibly tight linerlock. Holding a edge pretty well. I don't even notice it in my pocket half the time as well..which can be good and bad. Overall really impressed for the price...
I’ve been carry the praxis since Christmas as my edc. I work construction and it is a very nice knife. I use it everyday and I have no complaints. Also haven’t sharpened it yet and though it’s obviously not as sharp as it was it’s still very sharp. Great price for what you get. Definitely recommend for anyone.
Can we look at some knife companies that have lesser quality knives? I would love to see some contrast from all these good knife brands, not that I don't like this content but I'm just suggesting.

I really like knives in the 30-60 dollar range. Any more is too much for a knife. These knives usually come with good quality and good warranties.

The Native will always be my favorite pocket knife, but it’s big brother the Shaman is my current EDC because the screws never walked out like they did on my Native

Just a bit of advice maybe you could say the prices of each knife next time? Would save viewers/ potential buyers some time from having to google each one? Otherwise loved the video very helpful and informative!

What i really love about the elementum is the fact that it really looks not aggressive, like I am a bit afraid that people feel threatened if I take a big ass knife that looks like a machete from my pocket, an elementum feels more chill, more like a gentleman knife

Hard to beat the CJRB Feldspar for most Bang for your buck. The base model is mid $30 range & you can get pricier if you want more options.
Civivi knives are amazing.
I got one on amazon that had a button style lock that is amazing to use with one hand and an amazing feel to it for 20 bucks. Not the best blade sharpness but that can be fixed lol
Dude I'm wanting to get me a civivi heard too many good things. Also I've had two Kubey. Drakes (someone stole my first one) have the S30v upgrade but it's a great knife for sure and a cjrb as well that I love. Good choices!

@Kaushal it's impossible to fail when deploying, can't feel it in the pocket. Only downside is the steel. There are better options in that price range now. I didn't know that 8 months ago lol.

Based on the royal treatment the elementum has received with all its variations, do you think the full sized praxis was popular enough to ever get such treatment? (I.e. higher end materials, different locking mechanisms) It’s probably my favorite design of all time.
I'll go for the Baklash, good size and geometry. The Praxis is a little chubby I think. I don't want to buy an Elementum like everybody else.. Can't get Kubey's in Europe right now (sad). But I like the feldspar more and more, maybe the one that could get me to thumb flip, we'll see.
Also try the ganzo fh21 such a great one as well

are these comparable to a Case or a Boker that's less than $100? I got a smaller 71 layer Damascus Boker for $50 a couple weeks ago and for the money it's the prettiest, and most solid feeling folder ive used

Is 3000 and 8000 grit enough to cut paper like this?
You can get a shaving sharp edge on a good 1000 grit stone. The higher grit will just give it a more polished edge. Cheaper steels often don't hold their edge as long with higher grits so it's a waste of time. It's all about the apex and getting rid of the burr

@@donshreeves8887 because I can get a fantastic knife made in China for half the price of 1 made in 🇺🇸 and it will perform just as good. Everybody don't have 260 bucks to spend on a protech Malibu but I can get a civivi cogent for 70 dollars and everybody's happy

I don’t mean quality. If at all possible, I try not to buy from countries that use slave labor. Do not have worker’s rights. Have poor environmental policies and no safety standards.

Usa made products are just not as a ) well made and b) cost affordable
Look at cars as an example for value can't beat Japanese made ( Toyota Honda etc). American car manufacturers even started assembling cars in Mexico and outside the us. Why? Idk don't care the customer only cares about value - cost and performance
The Civivi Praxis, they released the knife in black with a silver blade and a god-awful gold liner... it looks like bling that belonged in a gas station in the hood. It was hideous. They had black blades and black scales, but they refused to put them together. Now you can get black on black micarta but it's half again as much money. The stupid bastards could have sold thousands of black on black at $42.50... they would have been the next Tenacious.
I got the Damascus blade so I could get the black scales with black liners. The gold liners looked so tacky IMO.
I just put the Micarta version in my cart to buy lol.
