In Orlando our lives basically revolve around Disney, universal, Busch gardens, and legoland. If they do well business around town really does well but the instant they shut their doors everything crashes. We learned that lesson the hard way when the pandemic hit. Orlando really suffered as money was tight until Disney finally reopened and business picked back up slowly. New York City got by because it doesn’t solely rely on Coney Island or legoland instead it’s more business sector kept it afloat. We just don’t have that luxury down here.
That factory ride was shown at 2019 IAPPA as just a prototype. They were showing the Lego figure screen and ride cars. I can’t believe it’s done already. Several new rides were prototyped but losing a single coaster with the Harley Quinn coaster due to just being a terrible idea and poor planning. Not bad.
Actually that legoland is really known as legoland Hudson valley to everyone else. Legoland Orlando, legoland Windsor, legoland Beijing, you get the idea. Honestly every legoland is built almost identically to each other minus the geography as that just changes where rides can be put. The rides are basically the same just a few old rides get updated and renamed. I know the old starliner coaster in Orlando was changed into coastersaurus. Of course our legoland was the former cypress gardens park and amusement park. The former park in Hudson Valley was an old amusement park that outlived its usefulness and was converted. Legoland is owned by Merlin entertainment which also owns sea life aquarium, madame tossouds wax museum, dozens of theme parks in Europe, and lots of sightseeing wheels across the globe. I know zampearla owns most of the Coney Island attractions and uses it as a testing bed for prototype coasters or rides. Thunderbolt and that body coaster are just not a good idea as they are very painful to ride and the restraints are just tight as can be.
