I appreciate the comment on nico’s form. So many commentators think certain runners are hurting or working harder than others but that’s simply their natural biomechanics.
To a certain extent, you don’t change an athlete’s form if it is working for him, unless there is a huge waste of energy or some other easily identified inefficiency. I did read that when Nico entered NAU, Smith worked with him to stabilize his head during strenuous running.
Alan Webb had some crazy workouts- 9x800 (last rep in 1:48) and 5x(4x400) - first set at 61, sets 2 and 3 averaging 59, and the fourth set was 57,56,55,50. 1 min rest for the first 3 sets and 3 minute rest for the last set.
Nick Willis intimated that these type of workouts contributed to Alans relative lack of performance in big championships, in that he left a lot on the training track.
Taoufik Makhloufi is known for some epic workouts. Also the famed workout by Ron warhurst, "the michigan' is a tough one done by many. Ive seen nick willis run some amazing splits during that session.
Dang this stuff crazy. It's no wonder komen could open his 3000m wr with a 1:54 800 easily. You should add kenenisa bekele and his workout of 6-8x800m opening in 64, closing in 53 for the 2 laps. I saw it on sweat elite.

Yep. And in recent years Nico’s has developed a lot. Speaking with him he’s worked on speed drills

That’s absolutely crazy. I’ll for sure include him in the next video

Daniel Komen is honestly the most under rated distance runner of all time
Mention Alan webb’s 800m workout where he split 1:47 solo at the end

Yeah the komen one is truly absurd
Explains the 7:20 3000m

I don't get it. To impove middle distance it would be much better to work on speed.
So why not run flying 100m in
