Thanks Adam 👍 I learn by doing this was only the second time using the plasma cutter I love this tool. This video was getting long I had to make a part 2. But in the next video I crush stuff🤪 thanks for checking out the video 😁👍🚜💨🍻💡
Thanks Martin👍 It works great faster than I thought. I was wondering do you think 🤔 I should have done more voiceover or is it ok the way it is? Any feedback would be great. Thanks for checking out the video😁👍🚜💨💡
Thanks Chris👍 I got a cool way to store the cylinder too. But that’s going to be in a video all by itself🤫 I was surprised how strong the hydraulics cylinder is for it’s size. Have a great weekend😁👍🚜💨🥶❄️💡
Superb fabricating, you must be a natural to design and build like that, and make a video about it at the same time, and thank you for showing us all why grapples are so expensive to buy 😀
@@Emilio57 Thanks for the kind words!!!😁👍 I enjoy the feeling I get when I make something useful. Just wish I could afford to do it full time. But then it might become a job. 😂 Thanks for Watching 🚜💨☀️
Man you have all the cool toys ! Great Video ! Great Job with the Forks Great Metal Fabrication Skills Many Hours spent on that masterpiece and it shows Nice Job 👍
Great work Mitch, impressive skills my friend, this will be so handy for your property 👍🏻, you looked like Picasso creating the drawings 😉👍🏻. Have a great weekend Mitch 🙂🙋🏼♂️👍🏻
Thanks 1K Luc👍 I can’t wait to use it this summer. I got more projects coming. This video went a little long but I will make part 2 shorter just to much to show. You have a great weekend too 😁👍🚜💨🙋🏻♂️❄️🥶
That success smile you have at the end is priceless :) I have to admit to sticker shock when I looked that plasma cutter up on amazon !!. You have a great wife approving P.O. on quality tools :)
Thanks👍 It always feels good when it works 😁👍. Well there’s a back story on the plasma cutter. I got one brand new in 1997 but couldn’t hook it up at the home we were renting. So it sat in the corner of the garage. Then in 1999 my son was born and money was tight so sold it to by baby stuff. So it is about time I got one😂 your right she is the best.🤫Thanks for checking out the video 😁👍🚜💨🍻
How's she goin'? Nicely done!! A very good looking set up and sure looks strong eh!!! The plasma cutter is a great addition to a shop. You have done a great job making the cutting jigs and designing this grapple. Way to go!!! Take care!!!
Thanks for checking out the video. I like it better than the torch. Know I can make wood jigs and not catch them on fire 🔥 thanks for leaving a comment 😁👍🚜💨💡
This is fantastic! You’ve got skills, Mitch! Makes me excited to get my shop finished so I can get to work in it! This was an ambitious build, but you made it look straightforward and simple. It looks well designed and constructed! Nice work!
Thanks Lucas👍 the video was getting a little long so had to make it a 2 parter. I am excited to see what you're going to do in your shop too. Thanks It was not as hard as building a building🤪thanks for checking out the video😁👍🚜💨💡
Hey Mitch that was just sick man there was so much welding.... a couple of times I could have swore you welded the table too...lol Wow man great video can't wait to see the next one.... I want to be your neighbor what fun...

@@MJADoingStuff it looks like the pin holes are a little close to the edge, not much meat, but then again, you're the genius. Take care...Great job again.
I was about to ask what plasma cutter that was, glad you put it in the notes. I like plasma cutters but on 3/8 and thicker I usually go with a torch, it’s just personal preference really. Excellent job documenting this build. You are one fine fabricator. Very neat job! Looking forward to more!
Thanks👍 this is the Second time I used the plasma cutter. I like it so far. I am glad I learned on a torch first because the plasma cutter is so easy to use I may not have even tried the torch. That Old rusty Hardox steel plate was tough to work with. Thanks for checking out the video😁👍🚜💨🍻
Wow, Mitch, that is some impressive work! You are so skilled! Maybe on the next version you can tell us how much time it took! Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Cheers!

Love a good fabrication video! nice work with the wood templates. The best thing about this is that you got exactly what you wanted and saved some money doing it. looking to see it in action!
Thanks Richie👍I had to decide plasma cutter or grapple😂 Now I got both. Sometimes it pays to make it yourself. So what do you think should I have added voiceover, music or is it fine the way it is? Thanks for checking out the video😁👍🚜💨💡
@@MJADoingStuff I think you did a fine job. personally i have never done much voice over work because in all honesty i dont know how to edit videos and christy does all of that lol! But i was just watching Martin on DIY my way who does a lot of voice over in his videos, i think that the active voice from the creator may help keep the audience in tune which i may try in the next video what ever it may be lol!
@@HillsideAcres Thanks that is a good point. I did not do it this time because I sometimes think I have to talk though the whole video to keep explaining stuff. But you know the saying a picture is worth a thousand words😂Have a great day 😁👍🚜💨🍻

Good job thanks for the video. You can slow down the grapple hydraulics by taking a dime and drilling a small hole in it say 1/8” and inserting it in the feed hose to the hydraulic ram at a fitting. The dime is mailable enough to match npt or jic ends, if it’s to slow drill it out till the speed is right .
Thanks 😁👍 I didn’t know you could use a drilled out dime but I will try it out. That is the ideas that make RUclips worth it. Thanks for checking out the video 🚜💨🍻

Nice job!!! I'm actually looking to build mine also! Is it possible to know the length of your cylinder close and open? Thanks in advance and keep the good work
Thanks😁I purchased the cylinder from northern hydraulics website and I went with a 1.5”inch bore 8” inch stroke cross tube. If I did it again I would order at least a 2”bore or 2.5”to slow down how fast it reacts and give more holding pressure. You can see on there website each cylinder’s measurements when you click on them. I can’t remember exactly but they have great diagrams for each cylinder. Hope that helps. 😁👍🚜💨🍳

I wouldn’t grind cut and weld with a vehicle in the garage! The metal dust on the paint will cause micro sized rust spots, that will grow into larger rust spots and eat through the paint! I know this by experience 😢 By the time you can see the rust specs it’s to late!
