For this project you need cardboard, glue gun and few wooden sticks. That's all! Follow instruction in this video if you want to repeat or just watch and enjoy :)

Guys, stop pointing out that anyone can break through cardboard. Just replace the cardboard pieces with wood, which is obviously still not thief-proof, but it is harder to cut and will probably be difficult enough to discourage the average person unless they really want what's inside... The important part is that this dude is brilliant and the mechanism works!
most common safes work like that, and If it was supposed to be replaced by wood, who didn't he show you how to do it with wood? wood can be pretty difficult to worm with sometimes so some need proper instructions. if it was meant for wood, we would be watching a wooden safe video. not a cardboard one

this really isn't meant for practical use anyway. This is a cool project to do for simple people like me

Duh. But how many people have the tools and knowledge for metal working? Wood is a simple alternative for the average person. If you are going to use metal and spend money in the materials for that, you might as well just buy an already made metal safe lol
I know theres a lot of troll comments about the safe being cardboard but that locking mechanism seems pretty ingenius. I love the complexities of simple design. It also explains a lot of why the combination has to go from clockwise and anti-clockwise for those notches to line up. You're teaching the next generation of engineers how things work, thank you.

For these who made it but don’t know how to open-Turn dial right 3 times and stop on the first digit,turn dial left 1 full turn past first digit and stop on 2nd digit.Turn dial right directly to 3rd digit(do not turn dial full turn)and slide lever to “open” position.

Perseis Brown Most large safes are pretty fucking weak though. Like, 10 gauge steel and some insulation. If you want something that can resist a $25 angle grinder, you'll need to build it or have it built for you.
Like, if you're even remotely competent with a welder, you can make something stronger than the off-the-shelf safes.

ATTENTION: If you make this the lock won’t close unless you push that lever into the “lock” position very quickly.This clearers the combination which prevents the lock open without the combination the second time.If you don’t push the lever into the “lock” position very quickly,this won’t activate the combination clearing mechanism,which means you can just slide the lever into the “open” position and open the lock again without the combination.Beware when making and using

however, then you would know it's been broken into, and you would (theoretically) know who did it. It's more of a way to make sure someone isn't messing with your stuff behind your back than a way to stop people from being able to mess with your stuff.
