mm this kind of asmr is a great no-headphone watch. the 3DIO (ear mic) vids dont have the same kind of satisfying sounds when it's thru ur phone speaker but this does
I can't watch ASMR unless I wear headphones no matter what kind of mic is being used. I think I think it completely takes away from the experience. I like that when wearing headphones or earbuds you can almost feel the sounds plus it cracked out any background noise around you. I have a playlist of my favorite ASMR videos that I find the most tingly so I can go back and watch them easily. I once tried playing one of those videos for my 8 yr old son who has Autism level 3, ADHD and limited communication (he didn't say his first words until before he turned 7) and we weren't using headphones. This was a video that always gave me tingles but this time it didn't. Usually when I put on certain ASMR videos for my son and he wears headphones they really help calm him down plus hold his attention. He loves it. This time though with out the headphones he barely paid attention so I went and got our headphones, turned them on and instantly he was glued to the video and the tingles were back for me as well. If you don't normally use headphones for ASMR I highly suggest you do. Some people find that lowering the volume for a video gives them more tingles, this has worked occasionally for me but it depends on the video. Normally though I prefer it a lil louder than normal. ASMR is usually made for listening through headphones though since they provide the best experience so that's probably. I'm not a big fan of the 3DIO. It's not so much the mic itself but the way many people use them. I can't stand when people stick things directly on those mics. I do like scratching or taping on mics like the Blue Yeti though. Lofi videos with a phone, which I think is what is used in this video sound amazing when there's direct contact with the phone like tapping or application of makeup.
