I don't know if the writers of song knew "Yeye", translates to 'He' in Swahili, it's also a way of describing an omnipotent being. You will hear Beyonce saying it repeatedly.

I've never been to Africa but I feel like the choreography here catches the African culture.
The choreography has some heavy West African influences (especially from the Sabar style in Senegal and the Koredjuga style in Guinea and Mali). This is funny because the African chant in the opening of the song is in Swahili, which is a language from East Africa (where those dance styles I mentioned earlier aren’t practiced at all).
