So I just beat this game today... and sweet Arceus above was it exhilarating. My team for my final battle was Mudkip (me), Torchic (Partner), and Absol. I went in with Blizzard and an all evasion orb and set up turn one with that. fast forward and I'm the last one standing both Absol and Torchic having gone down to hyper beams or crit twisters. I was doing well but soon enough I ran out of healing items for when he did hit me. I was on three hit points and he warped me right in his hyper beam line of sight. I was scared for me life and had nothing left in my item bag. I got off a lucky freeze from blizzard and tried to move away he unfreezes and fire hyper beam I thought I was dead but All-Evasion kicks in and I get the final blow with a crit blizzard. One hell of a way to end the final battle.
That’s kinda like what happened to me on the Zapdos rematch. My team was wiped. It was my lone Eevee staring down the lightning bird. I got lucky with a slow wand, retreated a square and fired off a shadow ball getting a lucky special defense drop, but it hardly did anything due to his light screen. As I pondered my options and prepared to set out for a rescue and try again, I saw I had 20 Geo Pebbles from when I made my ascent up the mountain on auto mode. I decided “what the hell” and threw a pebble, dealing a measly 20 damage and knowing the end was upon me After it hit though, the message that appears when you take out a Pokémon appeared and I saw the “enemy defeated” above Eevee. I sat in stunned silence for a minute before laughing that the almighty lord of Thunder was defeated by a small pebble. A very anticlimactic way to end my first bird rematch, but a funny one at that
Still remember doing the rematch fight, got lucky with some freezes from blizzard on my MC (a delcatty) but really got carried by a gulpin hiding behind rayquaza poisoning him constantly. Had all these strong pokemon even a kangaskhan i recruited along the way and instead got carried by gulpin lol
I thought Rayquaza was going to be as easy as Kyogre and Groudon, until I used all 13 of my reviver seeds. Still beat him though even after he mega evolved
I hope someone makes an edit of the soundtrack sometime that quiets down the Triangle to be mixed as well as it is in the original soundtrack. As it is now, it's WAY too prominent and it's extremely obvious in this track, drowning out a lot of the vocal effects. Shame, because I think it ruins the song.
around 1:27 in previous iterations was a complete change in beat that they seem to have hugely downplayed in this one. real shame as it was one of my favorite parts
i tried the rayquaza rematch with practically half an inventory of reviver seeds and a mega blaziken. i barely got it to phase 2 before running out of reviver seeds. not to mention my attacks started dealing a quarter of the damage they used to.
Is it just me, or is the high pitched ringing sound introduced at 0:32 not in tune? It kind of ruins the song for me. Edit: Huh, so I went back to listen to the original and it also has the high pitched ringing. I guess I just never noticed it until now? This kind of sucks, I used to like this song :/
Agreed, that Ding sound is SO loud, it was barely noticeable in the original, it's a bit distracting even though the OSTs are really well remastered overall
@@JesseFea I have never played mystery dungeon DX, only the original rescue team. Do orbs work in boss fights now instead of just "a mysterious power prevented its use!"
I am sorry for all nostalgic fans out there that like the music well because of nostalgia but I gotta say I would've preferred a orchestral remade soundtrack in the style of... well Super Mystery Dungeon. That soundtrack is so phenomenal and has so so many good tracks like "Lush Forest', 'Ancient Barrow', 'Reverse Mountain' or the Tree of Life themes, but here? I can keep listening to those themes for so long straight, but I just can't constantly keep listening to these game boy style tracks. I know 'they remain faithful' and all and for those with nostalgia is this perfect and good enough, but for me it is just not great. As I said, I would have liked intense and beautiful official orchestral interpretations of those themes because I know they are more then capable of doing that. One key example of remade themes from the game boy era done right is the 'Primal Reversion' theme from Omega Groudon and Alpha Kyogre in the remakes. This theme is a intense masterpiece but keeps hints and callbacks of the game boy original theme in the background. This is a perfect combination of old and new or the themes of Archie and Maxie. These are so intense and so good in ORAS, but I know they didn't do that the Mystery Dungeon remake to please the nostalgic fans.... . Just picture Rayquaza's theme in an epic style like Dark Matter, oh how good that would have been😍. This theme here is... well it's just underwhelming for me and doesn't really feel like a Final Boss theme.... I know this comes through like I'm hating on the nostalgic fans, but I just can't describe it otherwise. Sorry...
javier vicedo thanks. You know... this theme kinda has the same vibes as D.Queens. Not that D.Queens theme is not good, no I really like it. This kinda funky like track just doesn’t fit fighting a supposedly scary and strong dragon you know😅. Not menacing at all🤣. This track is not like 🐉, more like🤩🕺.
@@blackglurakx2409 But the thing you're kinda missing is the actual tone of the fight. It's not supposed to be menacing. It's supposed to be intense and upbeat, and it pulls it off spectacularly. The situation isn't grave. Yes, rayquaza is a deific creature, but it's not like in Explorers where you're facing the disoriented god of time to prevent total destruction of society. And while i would have loved a complete reimagining of the theme, this game is a remaster. a polish to an old game. Of course it's gonna be truthful to the original
I wonder if it’s hard for the newer generations to get into these remakes since they are based on old pokemon. I mean they are already at what generation?! Like the eight or something?

Blizzard with a crap tonna accuracy upgrades is much better, it hits him everywhere and it should do more damage.
@@Mr_Wahee Well, I didn't have Blizzard, so I used Ice Beam.

I like the triangle.
I decided “what the hell” and threw a pebble, dealing a measly 20 damage and knowing the end was upon me
After it hit though, the message that appears when you take out a Pokémon appeared and I saw the “enemy defeated” above Eevee.
1:53 This part gives me strength.
This theme sounds against...
Rayquaza
Ho-Oh
Mewtwo
Lugia
Deoxys
It only plays against Rayquaza in the remake as far as I know.
Nope, just Rayquaza
Just imagine Dialga's fight to the finish remastered...
I thought Rayquaza was going to be as easy as Kyogre and Groudon, until I used all 13 of my reviver seeds. Still beat him though even after he mega evolved
Triangle man... are you okay?
Espeon804 He was drunk.
😢❤️💕 I HAVE BEEN WAITING A LONG TIME FOR THIS... WORTH IT!!!❤️
My childhood summed up in a song
How to beat mega raquaza Groupon used bulk up moltres used agility skitty used sing moltres used the weather lock orb
*epic battle music*
I swear that listening to this song makes me feel more powerful, is it only me?
I flexed Mega Absol on him also the Gusts makes this fight awesome
is me or the amount of likes say the year where the red/blue rescue team was launch? (2006 likes)
Edit: forget about it, now this has more likes
I hate how this game, no matter when, always somehow makes me bawl like a baby. I'm a better person for it.
There's one up on my channel if you want.
It's weird because I literally didn't notice the triangle until I saw people talking about it on these youtube vids
Love the concept.😍
I feel some part is missing, i believe is around 1:33
around 1:27 in previous iterations was a complete change in beat that they seem to have hugely downplayed in this one. real shame as it was one of my favorite parts
@@ck11032 wasn't that only the case for PMD2's version?
@@TempoKong i think it was in the original and removed in infinity, actually

i tried the rayquaza rematch with practically half an inventory of reviver seeds and a mega blaziken. i barely got it to phase 2 before running out of reviver seeds. not to mention my attacks started dealing a quarter of the damage they used to.
Triangle
On the Switch/in the game it's less loud and also sounds a bit better than here.
Once you hear it in the original you can’t stop. It happened to me a while ago. Don’t know why they kept it.
in the og it wasnt as noticable as here
I actually forgot about this gem being remade.
Those rematches was insanely tough with them using their primal forms...💥
Then you find out about how fucking brokken orbs can be and wipe the floor with them
@@JesseFea I have never played mystery dungeon DX, only the original rescue team.

Sorry...
i think the same as you xd
javier vicedo thanks. You know... this theme kinda has the same vibes as D.Queens.
Completely agree with ya
@@blackglurakx2409 I feel it too now that you mention it! Still like it! 😊
I wonder if it’s hard for the newer generations to get into these remakes since they are based on old pokemon. I mean they are already at what generation?! Like the eight or something?
That name is extremely raw

Gonna be honest, the name "Defy the Legend" actually kinda goes hard
for some reason groudon rematch was harder than any other. I beat it though and now i've got the whole weather trio and all legendary birds
What if you
wanted Defy the Legends remastered
But Rayqauza said
it wants more of the delta-shaped instrument in it
