I love catching all kinds fish but the is something special about catching roach especially on the river.. it's just finding where they are and like I did one winters day at Bridgenorth where at one point had a caravan there and I caught just over 72 lb of roach and some up to two pound if not more.. but lost a few to pike just wished it hadn't got dark so early because new the were alot more there..but i have fished that same swim since in the winter a couple of times but no more roach there only chub dace and barbel..but i do know a place were roach chub and big barbel come out of the river trent into the Tame in winter for some reason..and it's a myth that fish go into deeper water when the temperature drops.. because I fish a six metre whip in less than two feet of water and you can catch roach most days all day long nothing big 6 to 8 ounce..but come the summer you will be lucky to catch anything apart from a suntan lol
9pm malta time.as I like carp.i would rather see you go after any tench,if they are in there.
1 or two in there more shallower weedy swims later in season

No bream in it mate unfortunately but there will bream bream.and more bream to come ;)

Not a venue I've ever fished tbh mate garry w who i fish with has so maybe one day might be on cards
@@DannysAnglingBlog I remember it being dug for the motorway,at the motorway end there'a 22Rb dragline and bucket digger,they left it in there to get rid of it.I swam across it before there was any weed in it.Last time Ifished it I kicked my maggots over and a guy a bit further up gave me half a pint.They were the biggest maggots I've ever seen.He said he bought them in Sale somewhere.
